NOTE:
a. For those who were recruited (except CRIMINOLOGY BOARD and BAR passers) from CY 2008 onwards, the
eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Officer II and up shall be those conferred by NAPOLCOM.
b. NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2007-540 provides that the TIG/experience for those promoted in CY 2004 or
earlier shall be reckoned from the effective dates of the General or Special Order (G.O./S.O) while those
promoted in CY 2005 and onwards shall be that of the ISSUE DATE of the appointment.
c. Higher police eligibilities (resulting from the examinations given by the Commission) shall be recognized as
appropriate to ranks requiring lower eligibilities including the rank of Police Officer I.
d. Current third level officers who used either the Career Service Executive Eligibility (CSEE), Career Executive
Service Eligibility (CESE) or Career Executive Officer Eligibility (CEOE), Police Officer 1 st Class (PO 1st Class)
or Police Superintendent (PSupt.) – taken prior to CY 2006 as their eligibility to third level ranks is no longer
required the PESE and could use the same eligibilities for succeeding promotions.
e. Eligibilities acquired as a result of the qualifying examinations that were conducted on October 10, 2004, April
26, 2008 and May 30, 2009 shall be used solely for change of status of appointment which is from temporary to
permanent and shall not be used for promotion.
f. CSC PO EXAM - Refers to all police examinations (PO, POE, PO1) conducted by the CSC.
