ATCO Rating Training - Training Plans: Aerodrome Training Annex B: Detailed Training Plans
EATMP Infocentre Reference: Document Identifier HRS/TSP-006-GUI-06 Abstract This document consists of Annex B to the publication entitled ‘ATCO Rating Training – Training Plans: Aerodrome Training’ (EATM, 2004 - T36), which enables the creation of Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) training ‘Aerodrome Control Instrument Rating – Module 2’ and ‘Aerodrome Control Radar Endorsement – Module 3’, compliant with the Common Core Content of the European Air Traffic Management Programme (EATMP)*. It provides further details on each of the exemplar training plans. For more legibility, it was decided that this annex, which is intended to training design specialists and instructors, would be published separately from the main document, more descriptive and of general interest. This document and the main deliverable can be both downloaded and printed from EUROCONTROL Web site (http://www.eurocontrol.int/humanfactors/publ.html.
* Today known simply as the ‘European Air Traffic Management (EATM)’.

The typical example is the counterproductivity of scheduling a simulation before the learner has achieved the objectives regarding standard phraseology or the airspace structure. the integration of the step-by-step practice facilitates the learning process. the training designer will have to develop a list of prerequisites.ATCO Rating Training – Training Plans: Aerodrome Training . 2000a – T14. the list of prerequisites will vary. A training event should not be planned before the learner has achieved the prerequisites of any of its objectives. List of prerequisites The analysis of the objectives to determine the prerequisites is not included in this document. Specific case of ATM objectives The full mastering of level 3 ATM objectives requires that most of the other objectives have been taught before. particularly the sequence of training events. So the freedom of the training designer is limited by the prerequisite links.Annex B: Detailed Training Plans 1. This does not prevent the practising of parts of the level 3 objectives with only parts of the prerequisites. A prerequisite is an objective that should be achieved before addressing another one. in particular).
