Slips, trips and falls Everyone- actors and
cameraworkers
Heavy camera equipment Cameraworkers- can strain
muscles from lifting incorrectly.
Actors- can be hurt if equipment
falls on them
Papercuts Actors- scripts, cameraworkers-
shotlists and storyboards.
Cuts/knocks Actors- could cut themselves
whilst filming scenes with scissors
as props. Could also walk into park
equipment.
How can this risk be controlled?
Being aware of surroundings
Aware of surroundings, always lift
equipment correctly and with
care, set up equipment correctly
so it is stable.
Use digital copies of storyboards
for less risk, or ensure care is
taken when handling paper.
Paying care and attention when
filming with scissors, and when
walking backwards
