WORK SHEET - ORACLE PURCHASING

1) Create Menu - po_menu1


2) Create Request Group - po_req_group1
3) Create Responsibilities – po_resp1,2,3 and 4 with Manufacturing as
application.
4) Create Responsibility – po_hrms_resp1 with Human Resources as application.
5) Create Users – po_user1,2,3 and 4 with respective responsibilities
po_resp1,2,3 and 4 along with system administrator responsibility. For
po_user1 add po_hrms_resp1 also.
6) Log on as po_user1.
7) Create Accounting Calendar – po_acc_cal1
8) Create SOB - po_sob1 with Operations Accounting Flex as Chart Of Accounts.
9) Assign profiles for SOB “GL Set Of Books” in responsibilities - po_resp1,2,3
and 4.
10) Open Accounting Periods for the above SOB.
11) Try creating Location – po_loc1. It will pop up a HR user error as both
location and organisation tables are owned by HRMS application. For resp.
po_resp1 assign profile “HR User type” with value “HR with Payroll”. This
will correct the problem.
12) Create Work Day Calendar – po_wdc1
13) Create Business Group – po_bg1
14) Attach HR classification to BG
15) For responsibilities po_resp1,2,3 assign profile “hr : business group” with
value “po_bg1”. Ensure auto copying of this profile value into “hr : Security
profile”.
16) Create Org Legal Entity – po_le1.
17) Create Org Operating Unit – po_ou1
18) Assign profiles for “MO: Operating Unit” in resp. po_resp1,2,3 and 4 with
value “po_ou1”
19) Run Replicate seed data concurrent request.
20)Create Org Inv – po_imo1, po_inv1 and 2
21)Open Inventory accounting periods for po_inv1 and 2.
22)Create jobs 101.jm, 201.am, 301.dm and 401.mgr
23)Create Positions 1001.jmm, 2001.amm, 3001.dmm and 4001.mgrm and
associate to the respective jobs.
24)Create employment – emp1,2,3 and 4.
25)Create position hierarchy – po_pos_hie1 with emp1 in the bottom of the
hierarchy.
26)Choose sob in Purchasing as “po_sob1”
27)Fill Purchasing options.
28)Fill Financial Options. – Ship-to, Bill-to, Inv Org, BusinessGroup and use
approval hie are important.
29)Verify the document type for Requisition – “Owner can approve” – checked
and Security as “Public”. Archive on “Approve”.
30)Create po_item1 and assign it to “po_inv1”
31)Open the req. form. It will pop up an error “You are not setup as Employee”
32)Attach emp1 to po_user1.
33)Create requisition for value less than 5000 and submit for approval. In req
summary you can observe the status as Incomplete. In Tools – Action
History in Req. summary it will show “No Action taken”. [NAT]
34)Create approval Groups req_jmm, with limits as 5000 and associate to pos
1001.jmm. Submit for approval. It will now get approved.
35)Create requisition for value above 5000 and submit for approval. In Tools –
Action History in Req. summary it will show “No Action taken”. [NAT]
36)Create approval Groups req_amm, req_dmm and req_mgrm with limits as
10000, 15000 and 1,000,000.
37)Create approval assignments for all the balance positions with the
respective approval groups for the document “Purchase requisition”
38)Resubmit the above req for approval – observe the same result [NAT]
39)Mention “po_pos_hie1” as our hierarchy in the document type. While re-
submitting the req. click on forward button. It will show no hierarchy.
40)Run concurrent “Fill Employee hierarchy” and repeat the above step. It will
now show the hierarchy and the forward to emp name as emp2.
41)Resubmit the above req for approval – observe the same result [NAT]
42)Attach the respective employees emp2,3 and 4 to their respective users
po_user2,3 and 4.
43)Resubmit the above req for approval – It will now go to the status – “In
Process”.
44)Observe the status “Pre-approved” when the req. is forwarded even when
the holder is having sufficient powers to approve.
45)Log on to the respective employees login and approve the req. thro'
notification.
46)Check for Approve and Forward, Reject, Reassign from notifications and
observe Tools – Action History.
47)Change the Security to “Hierarchy” in document type. Create a req. in
po_user2. It must not be visible in po_user1.
48)Check for approver can modify, can change forward to, forward from etc.,
49)Check for “Direct” and “Hierarchy” forward methods.
50)Open “Auto Create” function. It will pop up an error “You are not set up as
Buyer.
51)Set emp1 as buyer and open Auto Create.
52)Return the approved req. to requestor.
53)Split the req. and observe in lines req. summary also.
54)Create RFQ from the req. pool in “Manual” and “Auto” for line positioning.
55)Create suppliers, sites and merge ( including copy)
56)Create Supplier list and attach it to RFQ.
57)Auto Create Quotation thro' Tools-Copy Document [T-CD]
58)Check for Supplier Item Catalogue [SIC] for Standard and catalogue quote.
Check for approval required in RFQ propagating into Quotation, disallowing
population of Quotation into SIC, till approval of quote.
59)Approve quote in work bench.
60)Create SPO thro' T-CD auto route.
61)Create CPA with Amount agreed as approval limit. Use the same approval
groups for all the six pur. order documents ( CPA,SPO,PPO,SR,BPA and BR)
and assign them in the appropriate app. Assignments for all the four
positions.
62)Observe Amount Limit [AL] is greater than or equal to Amount Agreed [AA]
63)Create SPO and reference it to the above CPA. Observe the approved SPO as
released amount in CPA. Check for limiting of SPO to AL of CPA.
64)Create PPO and check for quantity limit in SR when AL is blank. AL,
Minimum release in Terms button and Minimum release in agreement tabbed
region will act as additional validation in SR. Check for price override. AL
will have no relation to doc. Total.
65)Create BPA and give price breaks. AL>=AA. Check cumulative price and
price override. MR in terms button is only validated in a BR. Agreement
tabbed region's MR,AA and QA do not have any validation. Check for
unlimited BR for a blank AL.
66)Create an item with ASL attribute and list price.
67)Create ASL for a supplier “po_sup1”, site “s1”
68)Create BPA with the ASL supplier and populate it in the ASL attribute
button. Make release method as “Automatic Release”
69)Create SR and ASR.
70)Create req. and ensure population of both supplier and source document in
the req.
71)Approve and run “Create Release” concurrent. Observe creation of release.
72)Make a Min Max at “sub-Inventory planning level” in Inventory for the same
item and run Min max planning report and observe the release in
purchasing.
73)Create SPOs for checking Direct, Standard and Inspection receipt routing.
74) Create 2 Pos for a same supplier for two items and check for Express
Transactions after enabling it in Pur. Options. SI need to be specified in PO
in Distribution under shipment button.
75)Check Cascade transactions for the same supplier and same item in various
Pos in diff. Units of Measure. Despatch in another UOM to another location
during Receive and Deliver transactions.
76) Make unordered receipt and match it to a purchase order [receipt – match –
deliver] ( make the receipt routing as Standard, if “RCV : Receipt override”
profile is set to NO.
77)Make a blind receipt and test for a “rejection” for over receipt tolerance of
5% being superseded.
78)Make substitutes in Inventory and receive substitutes in Receipts.
79)Check for corrections in Receiving transactions and Inventory.
80)Make supplier return from both Inventory and receiving transactions.
81)Check for Self billing (ERS) and run Payables Invoice Import concurrent , if
necessary.
82)Check for Debit memo in Accounts payable on RTS transactions.
83)Consigned Inventory
84)Vendor managed Inventory.
