・In the event that an employee becomes a registered nurse, the hospital shall bear the full burden of membership and annual renewal fees for registration with nursing association (and prefectural nursing association) or psychiatric nurses association. ・The hospital provides support in various forms for employees working at the hospital to take national nursing examinations (between approximately 5 and 10 employees a year). The year before last, assistant nurses who graduated from training institutions for nurses (2 year course) more than 5 years ago passed examinations, while six of the seven examinees who sat examinations last year passed. Two of these successful examinees were graduates of training institutions for nurses (2-year correspondence course). ・The head of the nursing department is a former lecturer at a nursing prep school and has experience as a part-time lecturer at a nursing university and is capable of providing instruction necessary to prepare for national nursing examinations. ・Training for nurses is a department-wide undertaking and takes place under the guidance of the head of the nursing department. ・Yearly education in the hospital is carefully planned to ensure that training is available during working hours in internal medicine and psychiatric nursing.
