The New Generation Festival

• The New Generation Festival is a festival created by the new generation for the new generation.
• This year's programme includes Don Giovanni, Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony and Violin Concerto
and a full performance of Shakespeare's Henry V with William Walton's score.
• Set in the Palazzo Corsini al Prato Gardens the festival is a platform for The Stars of Tomorrow that
aims to give young music talents from every corner of the world the chance to shine in a stunning
Italian setting; presenting the highest standard of opera, music and drama in an annual festival.
• Accommodation is provided at the Salesiani Monestary for the duration. Breakfast, lunch and dinner
is included.
The dates are the 13th of August to the 1st of September. Please email Ben Kearsley the
orchestral manager at bk@newgenerationfestival.org with a copy of your CV and two varied
audio or video recordings of your choice to express you desire to participate in the festival.

Don Giovanni/Tchaikovsky and Walton Schedule

• 13th of August to the 1st of September.
(arrival in Florence on the 12th)
• €800 per players plus an allowance of €250
per person for travel (€125 if based in Italy).
• An extra €100 per section leader in the string
section.
Tchaikovsky and Walton only
• 19th of August to the 1st of September.
(arrival in Florence on the 18th)
• €550 per players plus an allowance of €250
per person for travel (€125 if based in Italy).
