Standard: 6.A Demonstrate beginning understanding of numbers,number names and numerals.

Objective: By the end of class, students will be able to demonstrate their ability to count and write numbers by
themselves.

Materials:
● Worksheet
● Marker

Activity Directions
Teacher Prep:
● Print out worksheet
● Trace number for kid to write
Directions for Students:
● Have students count how many fish they see
● Have them trace the correct number
● Have them write name on sheet and put in cubby

Assessment/Checking for Understanding:

● How many fish do you see?
● Can you say that number?
● Can you trace that number?

Reflection: Most of the kids were able to easily write the number and were able to count to the correct number. Kids still
need to work on writing their own letters and names, besides that everything went smoothly.
