National Final FEBRUARY - MOST IMPROVED WRITERS
The National Final of the CUDA Primary
Schools Quiz was due to take place on
Saturday 3rd March but was cancelled due to
the bad weather.
Our senior quiz team have qualified having
won the regional final in Tullamore. We
compliment our team members for all the
preparatory work they are doing at the We will continue with our established policy of

Shrove Tuesday 1st Class – Seán Fitzpatrick


Shrove Tuesday was celebrated appropriately 2nd Class – Aoife Donegan
in each class. Pancakes were made and an
assortment of spreads was offered. All the 3rd Class – Paddy Jennings
pancakes disappeared so I assume the pupils 4th Class – Harry Worgan
were very happy.
5th Class – Aoife Farrell
6th Class – Emma Duane
No uniform Day –Febraury 14th
€427 was raised due to everybody’s generosity
and was presented to Laura Mooney. Laura
was very appreciative and expressed her
gratitude. Congratulations
Congratulations to our SNA Tracey McDonald on
the recent birth of a new addition to her family.
Tag Rugby
Tag Rugby coaching by Glen Bagnall finished
on Tuesday 27th February. Our 5th and 6th
classes will be participating in a Tag-Rugby
Blitz in Tullamore Rugby Club on Wednesday
14th March.
Thanks to Glen and to Tullamore Rugby Club
for the coaching. It was thoroughly enjoyed by
the classes involved.

Ms. Ryan’s Class
Mr. Plunkett’s Class  Recently 1st class were learning all about

Ms. Hope’s Class
 3rd class were very busy on St. Brigid’s
Day. The boys and girls learned how

 In addition to preparing for their First
Holy Communion, 2nd class are
learning about poultry production.
Six hen eggs are currently
incubating in a heated box and
hopefully in three weeks time the
eggs will hatch. I did not ask Ms.
Betson what her plans are for the
chicks. 2
