“Clicking” Cell-Penetrating Lipid to Peptide for Cellular Delivery (January 2017- Present)
• Goal: to observe the effects of a peptide on Helix 69 of Escherichia Coli
• Modify peptide through solid phase peptide synthesis and click chemistry to assist cellular delivery
• Use biochemical techniques such as MALDI-TOF, HPLC, UV-VIS Spectroscopy, and MIC test
• Funded by Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Scholarship (January 2018)
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Emergency Center Volunteer at Beaumont Hospital, Troy (January 2015- Present)
• Provide comfort care like blankets and beverages for patients and family members
• Transport patients throughout the hospital and to discharge
• Clean stretchers
• 450 hours served
Shift Leader for Emergency Center Volunteering at Beaumont Hospital, Troy (June 2016- Present)
• Promoted to Shift Leader based upon peer recommendation and duration of volunteering
