Brief Introduction
Hung Li Steel Corporation (HLS), a
wholly owned subsidiary of Chung
Hung Steel Corporation (CHS), was
established in August 2009.
The registered capital of HLS is 3
Billion NTD and the factory covers
12.51 hectares located in Lin-Hai
Industrial District, Kaohsiung.
The major products include hot-dip
galvanized steel coils with different
strength that manufactured from
hot-rolled or cold-rolled coils, mainly
supplied by Chung Hung Steel and
China Steel Corporation.
Since 4th quarter 2010, HLS is
entrusted to manufacture hot-rolled
pickled and oiled coil (PO) for CHS and
China Steel Corporation (CSC).
“To be the leader of high grade of
HGI and PO & FBFS products “, is the
vision of HLS. Moreover, we pursue the
development of niche products to
enhance our competitiveness and
achieve the win - win situation between
customer and HLS.

 Manufacturing Process of CGL

Hot-Rolled Galvanized products (HGI) are mainly manufactured by

this process. For Cold-Rolled Galvanizing products (CGI), the
Cold-Rolling is implemented by CHS.

Coating treatment on roll surface

The surface of all rolls in the furnace has coating
treatment to avoid contaminants and improve the
surface quality of strip.

KOHLER adjustable air knife system

The coating weight detected by X-ray will be
feed-back to KOHLER system which can
adjust the angle or pressure of air knife to
obtain proper coating.

process to meet customer special request, e.g., cut

edge or severe flatness or surface requirements.

strip surface before pickling that contribute very
good flatness and cleanness for Pickled and Oiled
products.

DCS Continuous Acid Analysis System

DCS continuous acid analysis system can
automatically control about acid concentration,
temperature, flow rate to diminish all related
consumption of acid, steam, water etc. The system
also can approach the higher level of environment
and energy saving.

Loop Car and Roll Blade Mechanism

To ensure CPL can operate continuously, loop cars
built in entry section, side trim section and exit
section. To prevent from roll marks on the strip
surface, dusts and scale powders on the roll surface
could be removed through 10 sets of roll blade
mechanisms.
