A Message Our Manager
Welcome to Longmont Recreation & Golf Services! Thank you for taking a look at this brochure.
I’d like to take a moment to express how reviewing this brochure can improve your quality of life.
Did you know about the transforming physical, emotional and intellectual benefits of leading an
active lifestyle? Regular physical activity leads to improved physical condition and cardiovascular
health, improved mood and an increase in the development of neural connections. People of all
ages benefit from physical activity. I hope that there will be a program or activity that you see
in this brochure that may inspire you to participate with us.
Research has demonstrated that one of the single best things you can do for your health is
a 30-minute daily walk in the park. Just being in nature leads to lower rates of depression
and anxiety as well as higher quality of sleep. Longmont has dozens of parks from small
pocket parks to a large reservoir with a variety of amenities like sports fields, playgrounds,
picnic areas and trails. Get to know your neighbors today in one of your local area parks.
I sincerely hope you take a moment to review the amazing recreation opportunities
presented in this brochure. You will see information on parks, facilities available for
your use, special events and recreation programs. I hope that the combination of these
programs and amenities will inspire you to pursue your own personal
physical, mental and social well-being. So pick up this brochure and
find the program, trail or park that is right for you. See you out there!

Local Service Providers
The City of Longmont Recreation staff strives to provide a broad spectrum of recreation and leisure opportunities for a wide range
of ages, interests and abilities.
However, we also acknowledge that not every recreational interest is addressed in our program line up. With this in mind, we would
encourage you to contact one or more of the other local providers that provide quality programs in the Longmont community.
A list of local service providers is available online at on the athletics page.
Every effort is made to provide accurate information. If you are a local service provider and would like to have your information
included on the list, please send your information to Your Community, Your Life! 3
