Theme: Personal strength to resist temptation
Passage: You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder;
You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother.’”
(Lk. 18:20, NRSVCE)
Reflection:
During all of our lives we encounter personal temptation in which we have to resist.
Us Christians must follow Gods word in which we are faithful and follow. This prayer
is for the times when you are trying to resist a temptation that god has asked us not to
give in to, and for the prayer to give us personal strength in resisting that temptation

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Creator of everything, Source of our strength. Today we come to
you for personal strength to resist our temptations.
We pray to you for strength against the bad temptation that we encounter every day.
We pray for you to help us the temptation of being a thief and stealing. We ask of you
to help us resist falling to adultery. We also ask of you to help us not harm one
another no matter how we feel.
We pray for those who have fallen to the temptations. We pray for those people to
gain the strength to not fall to those temptations once again.
Finally, we ask for the strength in our lives. We ask for the strength in our
communities. We ask for the strength to be spread all around the world. We ask that
everybody helps one another in resisting their temptations.
We ask in Your Sons Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You and
the Holy Spirit. One God, forever and ever. Amen.
