INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

House is very important in our everyday living in our house we feel

more comfortable and safe in any harm. People are very strict regarding
of the design outside or inside in their house, office, and even in the
factory specifically in the lighting. The electrician is the one who
maintaining the goodness and safeness of our electrical household they
are skilled regarding this matter, however, there is still problem that they
encounter in their job.

Electrical wiring is very important in every electrician they are the

one who's responsible of any possibilities that might happen if there is a
short circuit and if the family doesn't do any foolishness. So they making
sure that our life is safe together with their work.

Installing electrical wiring is an integral part of an electrician's job.

Working with electrical wiring involves working with device boxes,
raceways, conductors, and cables. This free online course will introduce
the learner to the basics of the electrical wiring system. From explaining
the key installation procedures for electrical device boxes and raceways
to outlining the correct technique for using hand-benders to bend
conduits, this course covers the essential requirements of the job.

Here’s a classic wire connection that makes my stomach turn

when I see it. I cannot believe a number of times I’ve encountered
electrical wire joined with electrical tape and no wire nut to hold them
firmly together. Its one thing to have them twisted together and taped,
although still wrong, but quite another to have them untwisted and
taped. It’s a potential fire hazard indeed! (www.electrical.about.com)

Rewiring involves removing as much of the old wire as possible and

installing modern, so-called non-metallic wire. Compared to older wiring
types, non-metallic is safer, easier to work with and doesn’t get hot when
surrounded by insulation. One option for removing old wiring is to tear
out walls, run new wires and seal everything behind new drywall. That,
however, is expensive and time-consuming. A job may land on the low
end of the cost range if walls need few cuts and wiring can run through a
basement, crawlspace, floor joists and attic. To preserve an older home’s
integrity, electricians often fish wires through walls, using rods and a
thin metal line called fish tape. This method occasionally requires a
small cut and patch but preserves plaster walls while adding the
conveniences of modern wiring. In the process of rewiring, whether
removing knob and tube wiring or simply updating, an electrician will
almost always upgrade your service capacity. Homes with old wiring may
have 60 to 100 amps of service instead of today’s standard minimum of
200 amps.

Description

A wire connector is described that suppresses the cutting of wires

accidentally. The wire connector includes a wire holder that hold at least
two wires, a contact that electrically connects two wires and a body that
holds the wire holder. The wire holder includes first and second end
faces and the wire holding portion that includes first and second holding
portions. On the first end face portions of circumferential edge portions
of the openings of the second holding portions protecting portions that
project from the end face and protect the wires are provided.

and plug connector for robots

Description

The invention relates to a socket-sided plug (B) or a pin-sided plug (S), in

particular for a tool changing system, for electrically connecting a tool to
a robot hand. Said plug comprises a plug housing for securing to a robot
arm or to a tool. The plug housing comprises at least one contact
chamber and at least one receiving chamber that is arranged, essentially
above the contact chamber. A connection module provided with
electrically conductive elements for connecting to at least one peripheral
device, in particular, a cable, can be arranged in the at least one contact
chamber. A wear and tear module provided with electrically conductive
elements for connecting to a second peripheral device, in particular, a
complimentary plug, can be arranged in the at least one receiving
5

chamber. The electrically conductive elements of the connection module

can be connected to the electrically conductive elements of the wear and
tear module.

Description

US 2007141871 disclose an electrical connector assembly for

transmitting high-speed electrical signals, which includes a header and a
carrier. The header has a plurality of signal pins, a plurality of ground
6

pins, and a supplemental ground contact. The carrier is configured to

mate with the header. A plurality of electrical cable terminations are
retained by the carrier, and the header and cable terminations are
configured such that each of the plurality of electrical cable terminations
makes electrical contact with one or more of the signal pins, ground pins,
and supplemental ground contact when the header and carrier are in a
mated configuration.

Splicing electrical wires is a task that can be learned easily, but if

the splice is not made correctly, the electrical system will be unreliable
and unsafe, risking fire or shock hazards. Our photo at left shows some
pigtail splices inside of a metal junction box - in this case because the
wires are aluminum, the connectors shown are not the proper ones, and
these splices are a fire hazard.

Objectives of the study

This project proposal study aims to:

1. Design and improve multiple wiring connections.

2. Test functionality of the project in terms of:

 Performance
 Reliability
 Design

3. Revise functioning parts

7

4. Determine if it’s significantly functional (or economical) to

use the multiple wire connector that doesn't need to un-insulate
the wire.

Significance of the Study

The study will serve as a source of data and reference for the
following:

Electricians

The device is important to the electricians because it will make

their work easier and less effort but have a good output and safety
product.

Electrical Students

This device can help students to easy to connect the multiple wires
in the circuit of junction box also it will help them to connect the wire
without insulating the conductor.

Schools

This device probably is a great help for schools to lessen any short
circuit or prevent any incident.
8

OJT Stations

This device is a great help to them since some people would always
look for the duration of that site this will help them to make their job
faster.

Scope and Delimitations

This study will focus on the design and development multiple wire
connectors without the need to the insulator of the wire which will
involve the use of the blade, this study will be validated through serious
checking and discussions, this design will be used in building wiring
installation.
