LITERATURE COMPONENT
(NOVEL) GUIDE

Prepared by : Puan Rosidah bt Ramli


 The literature component is based on five novels you studied in
form 2 and 3.

 A general subjective question on the aspect of the novel will be


asked such as themes, character, setting and so on.

 Read the novel and take note of the setting, characters, events,
themes and messages/moral values of the story.

 Read the question carefully and identify what you should write
on. Remember to give evidence from the novel.

 Usually, in the introduction, we mention about the novel we


choose and its writer. Then, write on the topic that you choose.

 Give at least 3 evidences. Elaborate on each evidence to get


higher marks.

 For the conclusion, we can use :

Question 1 : Based on one of the novels, describe about a heroic character
from the novel that you have read.

Reason 1 :
Introduction :
Brave enough to carry an old rusty axe -
Sean - Patrick’s best friend - uphold a heroic trying to stop Mr Graystone & his men from
action throughout the story destroying Skullgogragh - I learn to be a
brave person who will stand for my rights
