Base Engineering Assessment Program Checklist Template

BEAP Water Supply Investigation Checklist

The following is a list of the general information required to assess the Condtion, Capacity and Compliance of the water supply systems.

All physical site investigations need to be conducted in accordance with Cardno’s Health & Safety Management System and project/site specific requirements.

Observation notes of physical investigations shall be recorded in both raw and final formats (eg CAD, GIS, Excel, Word, and PDF)

POTABLE WATER
External Supply – Water authority mains
·         Confirm details including
-    size,
-    meter assembly type/components/age/comdition
-    number of supplies and status (Active/abandoned/primary/secondary)
- Supply pressure
-    Meter location, size, and data loging status
-    backflow prevention
·   Pressure and Flow statement (at current demand) and residual fire flow (lead time)

On-Site storage tank


·         Confirm details including
-    Size (dimensions)
-    operating levels (relative levels, including fire storage)
-    material of construction(tank, roof and safety access)
-    condition (leaks, cracks, repairs)
- safety and access review (inc. confimed space signage and locks)
-    connectivity to distribution system (PID or schematic),
-    open/enclosed air gap around roof
