Alma Stahl-Jones 2010 Newsletter

Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your faithful support -- both in prayer and financially. Because of you we can continue to labor in Uganda. Just before I left for the States I received several calls for training, some of them follow-up training. They get a little taste of the exciting joy of searching the Scriptures but are not satisfied with just a taste. Last summer when we were in Kabwohe in the Bushenyi District the response was tremendous. I did not bring the records of this training so am not sure how many students we had, but Pastor Asaph said the training transformed not only the church but the Pastor's family as well. We are going to be going back in 2011 to do follow-up training. This village is very close to the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) and could eventually be one of the Uganda locations of a permanent training center. This would enable us to move into the DRC and begin training there. We did training in the village of Kazinga which is a part of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Pastor Blessed Mugisha Helping host House of has a vibrant love for the people, especially the children. I have with me a DVD he made of the school he has. It is for Friends Mission Team children who cannot afford to go to school so he is constantly needing support for them. At this time I am not sure House of Friends brought a team from America to visit of how he handles it all, but know he is teaching the word Abba House Children’s Home in Entebbe. properly. We had a very small class in March and are They did updates on profiles scheduled to go back when we return. There are other churches in the Kampala area where we have taught and are praying God will lead us to the right Shepherd to take over the teaching there. This is a very vital prayer request and I thank you now for holding Kampala in your prayers.
and Dr Carl did physicals. We all had a great time handing out clothes and supplies. Citadel became an internet café for the team and the communication hub.

If you would like to meet with me my phone number is 816 507 0738. Emails might not be responded to quickly because I do not have a computer at the house right now. I am in the process of setting up one day training sessions and if you want one in your area let me know. I will be teaching how to study the Bible, using the same simple format I use in Uganda. If we do not teach in your area I will keep you posted on other places where the training will be held. Thank you again for your faithfulness to the Master by helping this ministry. With love in Christ, Alma Jones
