Unit Configurations
FORCED DRAFT
The most common style. Allows for easy access to
all of the mechanical components and for simplified
future plant expansions with direct access to the
bundle.
INDUCED DRAFT
This configuration is used to minimize the effects of
the environment and helps minimize the chances of
hot air recirculation.
8
J-UNITS
Common in the compression industry to mount up
against compressor houses. The bundles are vertical
and the air is drawn across the bundles and turns 90
degrees and discharges upwards.
V-CORE
Allows the unit to have more primary surface area in
a small space. This design works well for commercial
units that are Water/Glycol/Fluid Coolers or Refriger-
ant Condensers although it is not limited to these
products.
VERTICAL CORE
Vertical core coolers are very compact and a cost
effective solution to meet your cooling needs. This
configuration has great flexibility to meet space
constraints such fitting in the end or side of a contain-
erized skid while allowing the process piping to run
directly back to the equipment needing cooling.

Test Lab
Test Lab
Our new, state-of-the-art, on-site Test Lab equips our design engineers with a cutting edge. This new capability
provides our customers with even greater confidence in the products we build for them. Not only can the lab
handle a wide range of airflows and conditions, it has multiple fluid loops to test a variety of refrigerants and ap-
plications. Capabilities include:
»» Airflow from 100 – 8,500 cubic feet per minute »» Entering Glycol temperatures range from 20°F to 200°F
(0.05 – 4.00 m3/s (-6°C – 93°C)
»» Air temperature from 23°-140°F (-5° C – 60° C) »» Separate fluid testing loops for: Water, Glycol, Oil, Steam,
»» Humidity from 20%-95% Refrigerants, and Other Fluids
»» Entering Water temperatures up to 180°F (82°C)
