 This is a portion of a lesson that identifies student struggles through repetitive diagnostic
assessment.
 I am teaching it this way because I believe students will benefit from repetition and re-teaching of
standards they do not understand or have forgotten.
 Florida’s K-12 assessment system measures students’ achievement of Florida’s education
standards, which were developed and implemented to ensure that all students graduate from high
school ready for success in college, career, and life.

Summative Assessment:
Students will be given a task sheet compiled with math problems they have completed previously in the
school year to show growth and understanding of how to solve math problems they previously struggled
with. Not all students will receive the same assessment. Assessments will be provided based on students
needs identified from the formative assessments.
