Parts of speech is a class of words based on the word’s function, the way it

works in a sentence. The most common parts of speech are classed into eight
parts, they are nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verb, adverbs, conjunctions, and
prepositions, and interjection. Parts of speech adalah kelas kata berdasarkan fungsi
kata, cara kerjanya dalam sebuah kalimat. Bagian yang paling umum dari parts of
speech digolongkan menjadi delapan bagian, yaitu kata benda, kata ganti, kata sifat,
kata kerja, kata keterangan, preposisi, dan interjeksi.

I. NOUNS
A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or idea. Noun is classed
into 2, they are :
1. Abstract Nouns
Abstract nouns are words that name things that are not concrete. Your five
physical senses cannot detect an abstract noun – you can’t see it, smell it,
taste it, hear it, or touch it. In essence, an abstract noun is a quality, a
concept, an idea, or maybe even an event. Kata benda abstrak adalah kata-kata
yang menamai hal-hal yang tidak konkret. Lima indera fisik Anda tidak dapat
mendeteksi kata benda abstrak - Anda tidak dapat melihatnya, menciumnya,
merasakannya, mendengarnya, atau menyentuhnya. Intinya, kata benda abstrak
adalah kualitas, konsep, ide, atau bahkan sebuah peristiwa.

2. Concrete Nouns
Concrete noun is one type of english that is meant on things we can see,
hear, touch, kiss, and felt by our five senses. Concrete noun adalah adalah
salah satu jenis noun bahasa inggris yang merujuk pada sesuatu yang dapat kita
lihat, dengar, sentuh, cium, dan dirasakan oleh panca indera kita.

 Proper Nouns
Proper noun adalah penggolongan kata benda untuk orang (person),
tempat (place), dan benda secara spesifik. Kata benda ini antara lain
digunakan untuk nama institusi, organisasi, hari, bulan, bangsa, agama,
dan tempat. Proper noun selalu menggunakan huruf kapital di awal
katanya. Proper noun is the classification of nouns for person,place, and object
specifically. This noun is used for the name of institution, organization, day,
month, nation, religion, and place. The proper noun always uses the capital
letters at the beginning of the word.

 Common Nouns
Common nouns are general types of nouns or any nouns that are not
proper.
