PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PLAN-TRACK1 Goals, Measures, and Strategies Action Plan for Improvement ‘Name: Trisha Schultz Date: October 6, 2017 Site: High School Position: Business Education Teacher Goal Setting Conference Date: The expectation for these reports will be to have paragraph summaries that answer / address the questions posed. The intent is to be able to understand the projects without having the individuals there to ask questions or get clarification. District/Site/Department that this Improvement Goal will support: A. Please make goals student-centered if you work diretly with students, Ifyou do not work directly with students in elassroom setting, make your goals applicable to supporting student achievement or teachers) Please write this goal in SMART Goal format. 8 = Specific and Simple M= Measurable ‘A= Attainable, realistic yet challenging R= Results oriented and student centered ‘T= Time bound with a target for completion My professional growth goal consists of implementing essential outcomes relative to my classes and effectively using the backward planning method. Once completed, I believe 95% of my students will demonstrate the skills, and possess knowledge presented during class. I will determine if my goal was successful based on student achievement during homework, quizzes, and tests. My plan will be completed by June 1, 2018. In order to begin implementation of my professional growth goals I need to review and become proficient with Minnesota and district curriculum content standards. In addition to state standards, | will align my essential ‘outcomes with the National Business Education Association (NBEA) standards. | also need to identify and utilize the backward planning method for each essential outcome to include units, subunits, and chapters. This will allow me to drill down my curriculum planning from the overall unit to monthly, weekly, and daily goals. B. Along with creating and implementing new curriculum based on the Minnesota and district curriculum content standards; | will use information and materials utilized from previous or current teachers in my position. Additionally, [ will be communicating with other teachers and our principal. Once that is complete the measurable success of my students will provide feedback as to the effectiveness of my curriculum. I believe that 95% of my students will have a comprehensive understanding of their classes and this will be measured through homework, quizzes, and test scores. Assessments used to measure student growth and achievement: (longitudinal 35%) (eg, re-post iss, WEA, AIMSw2b, MCA ete.) The students will be assessed at the culmination of each unit. The end of the unit will consist of atest or a project. The test and project scores will be evaluated for understanding and comprehension of the unit. Additionally, I will assess student homework assignments for improvements and understanding.
