Jourdan Brut. Founder and MD of Haute Cabrière, Achim von Arnim, marked the significance of the occasion by sabraging the first bottle of the evening using a sabre. And the SLS AMG was certainly not the only vehicle increasing heart rates at the Cape’s only AMG Performance Centre, where guests were able to view the complete range of AMG performance vehicles. For the true driving enthusiast, AMG means more than style and luxury. It means more than the raw, pulse-pounding euphoria of performance. A Mercedes AMG is an expression of a driver’s appreciation of true quality and unbridled passion for life. Mercedes-Benz Century City invites you to extend your passion by visiting the specialised AMG sales experts at the AMG Performance Centre to experience the passion and performance of the widest selection of AMG vehicles in the Cape. Mercedes-Benz Century City would like to thank Bang & Olufsen, Haute Cabrière, Lindt Master Swiss Chocolatiers, Nespresso, Twice Group and Tag Heuer for their support on the evening.

New retail store launches in Canal Walk
FRIDAY, August 27, saw the who’s who of Cape Town, including SA rock star Ard Matthews from Just Jinjer and TV personalities Colin Moss and Mark Bayly, entertained by MWEB at the launch of its latest retail store in Canal Walk. 2oceansvibe Radio DJs Seth Rotherham and Richard Hardiman were there in full force broadcasting live from the store and showing the powers of MWEB’s Uncapped ADSL. MWEB was the first ISP to launch uncapped ADSL broadband in South Africa earlier this year. The new MWEB retail store in Canal Walk complements the uncapped ADSL service where South Africans can now experience the web like never before. The store offers the public an opportunity to gain valuable advice on the best Internet solutions, gadgets and products. Customers are able to interactively experience the benefits of uncapped ADSL with the help of friendly consultants who demonstrate the powers of the net on two 47-inch touch-screen monitors. MWEB has been powering 2oceansvibe Radio since the beginning of August. The partnership makes full use of the MWEB uncapped offering, from broadcasting their daily shows through live audio streaming, using Skype for guest interviews and “phone-ins”, to allowing listeners to download podcasts after the live shows. For more information, contact the MWEB store at Canal Walk on 021 596 7770.
