Commitment to Students and Student Learning developing as expected

David is kind and friendly and accepting of all students, whether they arrive late or lack motivation or are
disengaged-- he always tries to find a way for them to be successful

Knowledge developing as expected

Dave has a lot of knowledge content, but strives to master his content prior to delivery, and works hard to
match his lesson to the curriculum and develop realistic learning expectations.

Teaching Practice developing as expected

Dave seems to have discovered that there are a lot of factors to bring into play when planning-- it is nearly an
overwhelming process, so requires management more than mastery. He is developing his planning skills and
his classroom management skills, wondering how to engage those who really do not have much interest in
being at school at all.

Professionalism developing as expected

Dave is highly professional in his demeanor, dress, and conduct. While he has struggled to find all the time
necessary with extensive preparations for class, he has always managed to get his lessons ready in time to
face our students. He has demonstrated excellent judgment and a very strong sense of responsibility, as well
as an positive relationship with staff and students.

Leadership and Community developing as expected

Dave is quietly enthusiastic about his opportunity to teach as he obviously enjoys the classroom. Student
achievement is important to him, so he tries to give students useful feedback from his assessments. He will
be able to be more decisive when he has the chance to lead a class right from the start of the semester.

going in his placement. He is not only coachable, but he has a strong determination to improve his practice
each and every day.
