Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania, Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS)

The Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) is seeking candidates for the
position of Equity Trader in the Investment Office located in Harrisburg, PA. This is a non-civil service
position that provides support to the Managing Director of Trading.

Responsibilities include reconciling all equity, futures, option and currency trades, both domestic and
international.

A strong background with bank statements, accounting, and settlement procedures is necessary. An ability
to quickly develop an understanding of equity markets, electronic trading systems, and equity trading is
essential. Strong organization and attention to detail is essential as the person is required to keep thorough
records of trades, correspondence with the custodian bank, brokers, portfolio managers and other trading
desks. A strong technology background is needed to comprehend and utilize the workflow solutions of an
order management system and its accompanying architecture as well as complex electronic trading
systems.

The position requires the candidate to take charge of the entire clearing operation for the trading desk, as
well as, support trading operations by preparing reports, verifying positions and working with upper level
traders. The position also requires the candidate create equity, currency, option, and futures trade reports,
as well as, send reports to portfolio managers and the custodian banks on a daily basis. Familiarity with a
Microsoft Office environment, particularly Excel is necessary as sophisticated spreadsheets are used and
orders are routed and received using various file transfer methods.

Experience working in a trading environment is needed. The candidate will have to update portfolio
managers with market information and recap trade activity. Experience working single stock orders, block
trades, and program trades through broker dealers, DOTS, and ECNs is a plus. However, the trade
operations are the main emphasis of the position.

Applicant must possess a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, financial management or related
field and two years of responsible investment experience.

The salary for this position is negotiable based on experience. The job has a performance incentive.
