The Pennsylvania Public School Employees'; Retirement System (PSERS, System),


located in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking candidates for the position of

MANAGER, INVESTMENT REPORTING AND PAYMENTS.

This is a non-civil service senior management position classified as a Junior


Investment Accounting Specialist reporting to the Director – Investment
Accounting & Budget. The position is primary responsible for reviewing, managing
and analyzing investment accounting and operations activities to include the
research, analysis and staff training for the Pension Fund's (Fund) $50 billion
complex and diverse investment portfolio. This position serves as a technical
accounting resource and manager to the Investment Reporting and Payments Section of
the Investment Accounting & Budget Division in the analysis, reconciliation, and
reporting of complex investment transactions including futures, options, swaps and
MBS forwards.

Specific duties include supervising a staff of professional accountants engaged in


the development of the monthly Moneyline report of the Fund's investment market
values by asset allocation class; the monthly reconciliation, audit, and analysis
of the System's securities lending program; the daily reporting of the Fund's Net
Asset Value and Excess Operating Cash; the oversight and management of the Fund's
investment allocation process; management of the Class Action Revenue Recovery
Program; oversight of the investment manager fee payment process; and the
administration of the accounting for the Fund's Directed Commissions Program. Other
responsibilities include researching new and complex investment instruments
purchased by the Fund to ensure proper accounting theory is applied in reporting
the Fund's investment transactions and providing analysis, and spreadsheet
development and maintenance for the System's Chief Financial Officer on special
actuarial requests.

A strong technical understanding of investment accounting principles and procedures


for a variety of complex transactions and various asset classes is required. The
candidate must have the ability to understand and work proficiently with various
accounting software packages as well as Microsoft Office desktop software such as
Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting
principles, practices, and auditing standards and their application to investment
accounting and governmental pension plans is essential. Effective verbal and
written communication skills are required. Knowledge of complex global custody and
investment operations policies, procedures and trends is desired.

Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree; and two or more years of professional
accounting or auditing experience; which includes one or more years of professional
investment accounting, investment auditing or investment operations experience.
Business-related Master's degree or designation as a Certified Public Accountant
may be substituted for one year of general accounting or auditing experience.

The salary for this position is negotiable based on experience. Compensation


includes an attractive benefits package.
