Subject: Offer from Paul D'Angelo Dear Mayor Mike,

I would like to offer my services to you. Here's my offer:

I will resign from the Board of Education and I will work for your office or for education as a consultant for a fee of $1000 per month for a period of 12 months.

I will work with Paul Guidone and I will:

Return to him recommendations that will totally eliminate the problems that we are seeing each and every week with the School Inspectors office.

I will also guarentee you that I will find savings of a minimum of$50-$100,000 over the first twelve months of my consulting.

I will work with you and Paul Guidone in a very positive way to turn the department around and make a horrible situation into a department that you and the taxpayers can be proud of.

Thanks

Mayor Michael J. Jarjura 236 Grand Street Waterbury, CT 06702

Dear Mayor Jarjura,

Thank you very much for your positive and complimentary remarks about me at yesterday's reception at Gilmartin School, It is very gratifying to hear you express your comments about my contribution to the Waterbury Schools to the public,

On another note, I respectfully request that you rescind your request for a written response to the transfer of the wife of one of our elected officials to another school.

During my tenure here in Waterbury I have literally had thousands of confidential conversations with the public, city, and school employees as well as elected and appointed officials. I have a great deal ofpride in my ability to keep things confidential to myself and myselfalone, As I approach retirement I do not want to damage my reputation for confidentiality acquired over a life time of public service.

Thank. you for your understanding and consideration and by the way, I also want to thank you for your tremendous support of the education department during your terms as Mayor.

Sincerely,

@~x:d-J2__
