Narrative Patrol completed a traffic stop on Market Street after observing a vehicle fail to
turn as required when exiting from Raymond Street onto Market Street. During
the investigation, the suspect refused to comply with Officer’s commands and
then tampered with physical evidence. The defendant was taken into custody,
resulting in two Officers sustaining physical injury. A subsequent search of the
vehicle revealed the suspect to be in possession of MDMA capsules,
concentrated cannabis, crack cocaine, and marihuana. The suspect was
arraigned before Judge Charleson of Potsdam Town Court and remanded to the
St. Lawrence County Jail without bail. The injured Officers were treated at
Canton-Potsdam Hospital and released.

Potsdam Police were assisted by the St. Lawrence County Sherrif’s Office, and
SUNY Potsdam University Police.
