Purpose
A resume is a way for you to convince employers to interview you for a particular
position by demonstrating your relevant qualifications. This document describes your
qualifications for that particular position in an easy to read format.
1. Contact Information
o Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address
o Make sure you have good spelling, grammar, and punctuation!
o Have an appropriate e-mail address

o Tells exactly what you want in a job, career, or education

o High school name, city, and state

o Include any paid or unpaid experience (volunteer, community service)
