The 5 1/2 mile multiuse trail along the battle route followed by the
American militia in 1775 is fully accessible. The design team
worked closely with the National Park staff and agencies to
preserve important resources while creating universally accessible
pathways which do not intrude upon the visitor’s experience of the

setting. !

Circulation and grading requirements do not detract from the

historical character of the buildings and landscape. Archaeological
exhibits and historic markers are found throughout the system.
The trail system crosses farm fields, roads, forests, and wetlands
to tell a story of the cultural and ecological landscape. !
