The Communications of John the Apostle

JOHN¶S FIRST MESSAGE: CHAPTER ONE The One that exists from the very beginning, the One that we have heard, the One that our eyes have seen, the One that we have gazed upon and the One that our hands have touched, pertaining to The Spokesman of Life; (2) Because The Life was manifested and what we have seen and bear witness to, we report to you, - that The Eternal Life Who was with The Father was manifested to us. (3) All that we have seen and heard we report to you so that you may participate with us. In reality our participation is with The Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. (4) And so we make this portrayal for you so that your joy may be abundant. (5) And this is the communication that we have received from Him and now report to you; that God is Light and that no darkness dwells with Him. (6) If anyone states that they participate with Him but continues to walk in darkness, - they are liars and do not practice the truth. (7) However, if we walk in the Light,-as He himself lives in the Light,- we are in mutual participation with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [to miss the mark]. (8) If we state that we have no sin then we are deceiving ourselves and the Truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, - He is Faithful and Just so as to forgive us our sins and to wash away all unrighteousness. (10) If we state that we have not sinned, - we make him out to be a liar and His Word is not in us. CHAPTER TWO My little children, I am communicating this to you so that you do not commit sin. But if anyone commits a sin, we have an Advocate with the Father,-Jesus Christ the Righteous. (2) And He is the Atonement for our sins and not only for us, but also for the entire planet. (3) And this how we come to understand that we know Him,-if we keep His commandments. (4) Whoever says, ³I know Him´, and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the Truth is not in them. (5) But whoever observes His Word, truly in him the Love of God is being perfected. This is how we obtain the knowledge that we are joined to Him; (6) whoever states that he is in union with Him is obligated to walk in the same Way as He walked. (7) Brethren, I am not writing to you about some new commandment, but about an ancient commandment which you had from the very beginning, - this ancient commandment is The Word that you have heard from the start. (8) Then again, I elaborate upon the new commandment to you that is truthful in Him and in yourselves, - because the darkness is passing away to the True Light that now shines. (9) Anyone that claims to be in the Light but yet hates his brother is still a part of the darkness. (10) Whoever loves their brother continues in the Light and so they avoid snares. (11) But whoever hates their brother is still in the dark and walking in darkness; they do not even know where they are going because the darkness has blinded their eyes. (12) I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you through His Name [authority]. (13) I am writing to you, fathers, because you have knowledge of Him Who is from the very beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have conquered the evil one. I have written to you, boys and girls, because you have come to understand The Father. (14) I have 2

written to you, fathers, because you have come to know Him Who Is from the very beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are conquering the evil one [or, wicked one, i.e., the devil]. (15) Neither love the world, nor the desires of the world [system]. If anyone loves the world [age, man¶s system], the Love of The Father is not in them. (16) Because all that pertains to the world, - the lust of the flesh, the coveting of the eyes, and the vain grandeur of life, - does not originate from The Father but stems from the world. (17) And the world will pass away along with its lust, but those that do the will of God will live on forever. (18) Young children, it is the Final Hour! And just as you have heard about Antichrist coming, even now there are many antichrist,-and by this observation we can understand that it is the Final Hour. (19) They went out from among us, but they did not truly belong, - if they had truly belonged they would have stayed with us! But this makes it evident that they have no part with us. (20) But you have been anointed by The Most Holy and thereby have complete knowledge. (21) I did not write to you because you do not know The Truth, but because you do know it,-and no lie originates with The Truth. (22) Who is the µLiar¶? The one that rejects that Jesus is the Christ [the Anointed One]. This is the Antichrist,-the one that abnegates The Father and The Son [the Divine Family relationship]. (23) No one that repudiates The Son has any share in The Father. (24) As for you then, stay with what you have learned at the very start. If you continue to stay with what you learned at the very beginning, then you will also continue in union with The Son and The Father. (25) And this is the promise that he promises to us,-eternal life. (26) I am writing this to you about those who would lead you astray. (27) But the anointing that you are recipients of from Him remains in you, - so you have no need for anyone to ³teach´ you. Because the same anointing from Him is instructing you in all details, - it is Truth and contains no lies, - so just as it has been taught you, continue with Him. (28) And so, little children, stay in union with Him, so that when He appears we can have confidence and not shrink back in shame in His presence. (29) If you know that He is Righteous, then you can perceive that everyone that works righteousness is conceived by Him. CHAPTER THREE Look at the type of Love that The Father lavishes upon us, - that we should be called ³The sons of God´! That is why the world does not know about us, - because they do not know Him. (2) Beloved, even though we are now God¶s sons, - the full details of our composition to be are not complete. But we do understand that when He arrives, we will be just like Him, - because we will be able to behold His true form. (3) And everyone that embraces this hope for themselves cleans up their act because He is pure. (4) Whoever practices sin is violating the Law; because sin is the violation of the Law. (5) So now you understand that He appeared so as to eradicate sin, because with Him sin has no place. (6) Everyone that is in union with Him does not practice sin; - anyone that practices sin has never seen Him nor knows Him.

(7) Little children, allow no man to lead you astray [deceive], - the workers of righteousness are righteous, - just as He is Righteous! (8) Those that practice sin originate with the adversary, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. This is the purpose behind The Son of God¶s appearance, - which is to destroy the works of the devil. (9) Whoever is conceived by God does not practice sin, because His seed [of reproduction] remains within them and they cannot be sinning because they are conceived by God. (10) This is how we can ascertain the difference between the sons of God and the sons of the devil; - anyone that does not perform righteousness does not originate with God, - nor does anyone that does not love his brother. (11) Now repeating the message that you heard at the very beginning; we should be showing love for each other. (12) Do not be like Cain,-whom the wicked one owned,-who murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own works were evil,-while those of his brother were righteous. (13) Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you. (14) We now know that we have passed over from death unto life, because we love the brotherhood. Those who do not love continue in death. (15) Anyone that hates his brother is a murderer and you have come to see that no murderer has eternal life dwelling within him. (16) This is how we have come to understand [True] Love, because He laid down His Own Life for us,-so we are obligated to lay down our lives for our brothers. (17) If anyone is blessed with worldly means of support and sees his brother in need and yet shuts the door of compassion towards him,-how can the Love of God be dwelling in him? (18) Little children, let us show love not by talk and lip service, - but in works and Truth! (19) And by this [i.e., sacrifice, works & Truth] we will be sure that we are grounded in The Truth and our hearts can have assurance before Him. (20) But if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows all things. (21) Beloved, if our hearts are not condemning, we have confidence before God. (22) And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and are doing what pleases Him. (23) And His commandment is that we believe [put our trust in] in the Name of His Son Jesus Christ and actively love one another, - just as He commands us. (24) And whosoever keeps His commandments is in union with Him and He with them. And by this we know [to be certain] that He dwells within us through the Spirit that He has given us. CHAPTER FOUR Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but put to the test these spirits to prove if they originate with God, - because the majority are false prophets that have gone forth into the world. (2) This is how you can be sure of God¶s Spirit; every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ is coming into human beings originates with God. (3) And those spirits that do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is coming into human beings does not originate with God,-they belong to the Antichrist, of which you have heard will come and is even presently on the world scene. (4) But you belong to God, little children, and have prevailed over them, because He that is in you is greater than he that is of this world. (5) They belong to the world and that is why they speak with a worldly perspective, and the world will listen to them. (6) But we originate with God; those who have knowledge of God will listen to us, - and those who do not originate with God will not hear us. And by this we can perceive the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.

(7) Beloved, let us continue to love one another, because Love comes from God and everyone that loves has been conceived by God and is growing in knowledge of God. (8) Anyone that does not love does not know God, because God is Love. (9) By this the Love of God is demonstrated among us, - because God sent forth His only begotten [i.e., the First of begotten] Son into the world so that we might obtain life through Him. (10) In this respect is Love, - not because we loved God but because He loved us and sent forth His Son as the Atonement for our sins. (11) Beloved, if God loves us so much, - then we ought to love one another! (12) Now no man at any time has ever looked upon God, but if we love one another, - then God is living in us and His Love is being perfected within us. (13) This is our certainty that we are in union with Him and that He is in us [lives within]; because He has bestowed upon us His Spirit. (14) And we are eye witnesses that testify that The Father sent forth His Son as The Savior [Deliverer] to the world. (15) Those that acknowledge Jesus as Son of God have God dwelling in them and they are in union with God. (16) And we have come to understand and to trust in the Love that God has for us. God is Love, and those that live in Love live in God and God is in them. (17) This is The Way our love is being perfected so that we may have confidence in the Day of Judging, - because just as He experienced it, we also are in this world. (18) There is no fear in love because perfected Love cast out fear,-that is because fear deals with punishment. Anyone in fear has not been perfected in Love. (19) We love, but because He first loved us. (20) If anyone claims, ³I love God´ and yet has hatred for his brother,-he is a liar. For if someone cannot love his brother that he can see,-how can he possibly love God whom he has not seen? (21) And we have this commandment from Him; that those who love God should love their brother also. CHAPTER FIVE Everyone that believes that Jesus is The Christ has been conceived by God,-and everyone that loves Him that procreates also loves those that are conceived by Him. (2) This is how we are certain that we love the children [offspring] of God, when we love God by keeping His commandments. (3) For this is what the Love of God means,-that we keep [observe] His commandments; and His commandments are not some heavy load [burden]. (4) Because all that will be born of God conquers the world. And this is the victorious means of conquering the world, our faith! (5) And who is the one that conquers the world but he that in faith accepts Jesus as The Son of God? (6) This is The One that came by the means of water and blood, Jesus Christ,-not by water only, but by the water and the blood. And to bear Witness is the Spirit,-because the Spirit is The Truth. (7) For there are three supports of evidence; - (8) the Spirit [God¶s], the water [baptism], and the blood [Christ¶s],-and these three support this single fact. (9) If we accept the report of men, the evidence that God gives is far weightier. Because this is the evidence that God gives in bearing Witness concerning His Son; (10) he that has the Faith of God¶s Son has the evidence within himself. He that does not have faith in God makes Him out to be a liar,-because he does not have faith in the evidence provided by God concerning His Son. (11) And this is for the record; - God will give us eternal life, and this Life is through His Son. (12) He that has The Son will live and he who does not have The Son will not go on living [perish]. 5

(13) I have written to you pertaining to these things in order that you may come to understand the promise of eternal life for you that have Faith [trust based on credibility] in The Name [authority] of The Son of God. (14) And this is the confidence we can have before Him;-that no matter what we ask of Him, if it is within His will, He does listen to us. (15) Further, if we are sure that He listens to us in respect to our request, then we are also sure that we will receive what we asked Him for. (16) If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not incur death [mortal], he will ask, and He will grant him life for those who do not sin so as to incur death. There is a sin that incurs death and I am not saying that he should pray concerning that. (17) All unrighteousness is sin, - and yet there is sin that does not incur death [if repented of]. (18) We know that everyone that has been conceived of God does not practice sin,-for he that is conceived of God is on guard and the wicked one does not touch him. (19) We understand that we originate with God, while the rest of the world is in the hold of the wicked one. (20) Furthermore, we know that The Son of God has arrived and has given us insight so that we may know The One that is True. And we are in union with The True One through His Son Jesus Christ. This is The True God and eternal life. (21) Dear children, guard yourselves from idols [idol; whatever one puts first].

From the Elder to the Elect [chosen] Lady and her children [likely pertaining to God¶s Church and not an individual ³lady´], whom I love in The Truth and not just I, but all those that have come to be sure of The Truth,- (2) because of The Truth that dwells in us and that will be with us forever; (3) Graciousness, mercy and peacefulness is towards us from God The Father and from Jesus Christ The Son of The Father, with Love. (4) I rejoiced very much because I had found among your children [offspring] some that were still walking in the Truth, - just as we have been commanded to by The Father. (5) So now I implore of you, Lady, not as though I were writing you a new commandment,-but a reminder of the one that we had from the very beginning,-that we love one another. (6) And this is the definition of Love; that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment,-just as you have heard it from the very beginning so you should continue this walk. (7) For numerous deceivers have gone forth into the world who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is coming into human beings; this is the deceiver and the antichrist. (8) Be perspective about yourself so that we do not lose what we have worked for,-so that we may receive a full reward. (9) Everyone that gives in to rebellion and does not remain in The Teaching [doctrine] of Christ is not joined to God. Those that remain in these teachings jointly have The Father and The Son. (10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching,-do not admit him into your home or even extend them greetings! (11) For he that extends them greetings is a participant in their wicked works.

(12) Although there is a good deal that I could write you about,-I prefer not to use paper and ink,-but am hoping to visit and speak to you personally so that your joy may be abundant. (13) The children of your Elect sister send their greetings.

From the Elder to the beloved Gaius,-whom I love in The Truth. (2) Beloved one, I pray that in all your doings that you will be successful and enjoy good health,-even as your life has found the ³Good Road´. (3) For I rejoiced immensely when some brothers visited and bore witness to the Truth that is in your life because you continue to walk in The Truth. (4) Nothing makes me happier than to hear that my children are walking in The Truth. (5) Beloved one, you are performing a very loyal work in your dealings with the brothers and strangers too. (6) They have borne witness to your love before the church [assembly], - and you will do well in preparing them for their calling after a manner befitting God¶s service. (7) For it is in behalf of The Name that they are going forth, while not taking anything from the gentiles. (8) Therefore, we are obligated to sustain these men so that we may become co-workers of The Truth. (9) I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes who is ambitious of distinction among them, - does not welcome our teaching. (10) So if I am able to come, I will bring up this matter of his actions, - shooting off his mouth with cruel accusations against us. And if that was not enough, he refuses to welcome the brothers and prevents those who would welcome them by tossing them out of the church! (11) Beloved one, never be an imitator of wickedness, - be one of goodness. He that does well originates with God, - while those doing evil certainly are not of God. (12) Demetrius is backed by the witnessing of everyone and even by The Truth itself, - and we back him by our witnessing also and you know our witness carries Truth. (13) There is a great deal that I wanted to write you about, but I prefer not to write with pen and ink. (14) I am hoping to see you very soon and then we can speak face to face. Peace be with you. Your friends send their greetings. Give my personal regards to my friends.

NOTES FROM THE AUTHOR: Italics and red bracket inserts are employed throughout for emphasis and explanation. The communications, or letters, of the Apostle John deal with problems in the formative history of God¶s church, - but they are also prophecy for the End-Time stage of God¶s church. So this makes John¶s messages to be DUAL in meaning; 1) they are historic, 2) they are prophetic. And the historic events typify the prophetic events for the End-Time. The prevailing problem with the church in John¶s day was that the people were forgetting [willfully] The Truth that they had learned at the very beginning of their calling. They started to follow false teachers. Now these false teachers, or prophets, were men that ³crept in unawares´ [Jude 4; see author¶s related work of Jude],-i.e., their true character was not immediately recognized. These are the false prophets that Jesus warned His followers about in the Olivet Prophecy [see Matt.c24 and author¶s related work The Olivet Prophecy]. These false prophets were turning God¶s grace into a license to continue in sin [break God¶s laws] while offering ³salvation´. They introduced the doctrines of the old but beloved ³Babylonian Mystery´ religion! They were palming off these doctrines as ³Christianity´. They probably destroyed John¶s letters [3J9] and kicked true believers out of the church [3J10]. The main ring leader of this rebellion that John had to deal with as the last surviving Apostle, was a man named Diotrephes [3J9-11]. He was a TYPE of the false teacher that would come in the End-Time to try to destroy God¶s church [see 2Thes.2:3-12 and 2Pet. Chapters 2 and 3]. And just like the time distant Diotrephes, this End-Time false teacher while shooting off his mouth about ³love´, will perpetrate the same wicked acts but of a greater magnitude. John¶s messages for his day, as well as for our day, was about true Love. He gave the true definition of ³love´, - which is keeping God¶s commandments. Anyone not keeping God¶s commandments only knows love as self-gratification. A good definition of false Christianity is; easy on the ears, light on the pocket book and the freedom to do your own thing while you are being ³saved´ because you believe! I have used the capital letter µL¶ in this work in the word ³Love´ to denote the distinction between Love that stems from God and the love that humans have. Two different words are employed by John pertaining to love; one is Godly and spiritual [which humans do not have by nature] while the other is human and physical. It is the spiritual Love that John tells us we must seek and have to fully obey and please God,- and that only comes as a gift from The Father through His Son. Since John did not end his letters with the familiar ³amen´; - this sign connotes looking elsewhere in scripture to obtain the ³big picture´ on the conspiracy of false Christianity. A study of John¶s letters as well as the Gospel he penned reveals a special character trait that made him ³the disciple whom The Lord Loved´, - a firm loyalty based upon believing faith and outgoing concern for The Lord¶s Flock.
