Introduction

Most children in the United States and around the world using the Internet (Jackson,
2008; Pew Internet and American Life Project (PEW), 2006). Increased use of mobile phones
among children and adults is evident from its use in public places. In 2007, the global mobile
phone market that contained about 1.8 billion subscribers (Pregnancy & Larsenk, 2009) and
is expected to reach 3 billion by the end of 2010, at which time nearly half of all people on
earth will have and use mobile (Merry, Domlija Mackenzie, et al., 2005).
At this time, the number of internet users and growing more and more. With the
Internet users were able to access a variety of information easily. But they are often faced
with the Internet and its various applications in computers tend to be too lazy to move and
prefer to do a permanent activity such as reading, watching and more. This can lead to
obesity, because the calories into the body is not removed or burned just by standing still. It is
estimated that 16% of children in the US are obese, three levels of two decades ago
(Association obesity America)
in the journal Psychiatry Research, examines the relationship of body mass index
(BMI), the perception of body weight, and behavioral weight control with the use of
problematic internet Korean teenagers in the national sample. cross-sectional data from the
2010 Youth Risk Behavior Survey Korea-based Web collected from 37 041 men and 33 655
women in middle schools and high (grades 7-12) were analyzed. Participants klasifikasified
into groups based on BMI (underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obesity), perception
of body weight (underweight, normal weight and overweight), and behavioral weight control
(no behavioral weight control weight, weight control behavior are appropriate, inappropriate
weight control behaviors) (S. Park & Y. Lee, 2017)
According to the study of the relationship between the weight and the use of the
Internet, young people with problematic Internet use is more likely to be obese or
excessweight.It was also found that the problematic Internet use is associated with body
concerns, such as preoccupation with being overweight or evasion of body image. In line
with, eat regularly suggested to be associated with problematic Internet use, Although the
results are somewhat not consistent across studies. (S. Park & Y. Lee, 2017)
There are several potential explanations for the association between weight or body
image and problematic internet use. Some argue that the problematic internet use to lower
physical activity and sedentary lifestyles can lead to weight gain and related
symptoms(Matusitzand McCormick,2012).
