To: Whom It May Concern

It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to recommend the courteous and very reliable Joshua Salas.
Fortunately, I had the chance to work with Joshua for two years during his High School years, and during
this time, he displayed a collection of incomparable qualities that will highlight his future endeavors.

I first met Joshua in 2014, when he was enrolled in my Spanish 1A course. Quiet, introverted and a bit
timid, it does take some time for an educator to notice the high quality student that Joshua is. However,
you will not get this impression from his verbal production or oral contributions. Joshua is not the
outspoken type. He is the kind of student that can easily be misunderstood because his shy demeanor
and reserved personality can easily be misinterpreted by many. However, make no mistake about it,
beneath that silent conduct and bashful persona, one finds a genuine and driven soul who seeks to
improve academically, develop socially and mature humanely as much as possible.

There are no reservations whatsoever in my mind regarding Joshua’s potential to succeed and shine in
life. He has all the tools needed to become a very productive citizen of this nation and he will make
significant contributions regardless of the field he decides to explore in his academic undertakings. He is
strong-minded, alert and possesses a remarkable work ethic that complements his polite, refined and
considerate temperament. Among his many achievements, one finds that he has a 3.5 GPA, has
received multiple awards for High Honors. He has done all this while still finding time to volunteer some
time at our school, helping out the homeless during our day of service project in 2016, participated in
the Foshay 5K. These are a few of the reasons why I believe he is interested not only in growing as a
scholar, but his desire to improve reaches the social as well as the humanistic side of his.

I recommend Joshua Salas without any reservation whatsoever. If you or your fine institution is truly
interested in working with an honest, classy and reliable individual, then you will give his a chance to
prove to you what I was fortunate enough to witness for four semesters in a row. Take a chance on Mr.
Salas. I guaranteed that you will not regret it one bit.
