Skipping in St Kevin’s

We will hold a Skip Hop workshop this Friday!! The cost is covered by the school
as part of money collected through your child’s book list. This is a great
opportunity to develop skipping skills and teach some new tricks. Skipping is a
great way to keep fit and have fun with friends.

Skipping has been introduced in the yard throughout yard time activities
however if your child wishes to purchase a skipping rope one can be bought
through the office at a cost of €4.00 for one Skipping rope or €2 for jumping
bands (limited stock from Friday). All classes with participate and a
demonstration will be held at the end of the day for our senior classes. If
weather is permitting we are hoping to hold this demonstration in the yard for
everyone to see.

Walk a mile with a smile

On Friday 18th May the whole school will wear something red and participate in a
fun sponsored walk to help raise funds for a defibrillator in our school. We will
walk a mile together with some fun activities as we walk. (weather permitting).
Photographer for Communion Photographs

We have booked a photographer from Michael Edwards Photography to call to

the school on Monday 28th of May to take photographs of all our communion
children. Details will be sent out closer to the day. As the communion ceremony
is a religious celebration no photographs are permitted during the ceremony.
However opportunities for photographs will be given at the beginning or at the
end of the ceremony.

Communion Preparation

To help prepare our 2nd class children for their First Communion we will bring
our communion children to mass on Thursdays at 10am. Children who are not
participating in First Holy Communion will be accommodated in other classes.

Unwanted Clothes for books

We will hold a clothes collection to purchase additional books for our school
library. If you have any unwanted clean clothes/sheets/bags/shoes etc. we
