TERMS & CONDITION FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL
CONSULTANT ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS

1. Job Profile/Description:

 Preparation, reviewing and appraising of environment related documentations, statements, reports, data
etc obtaining environmental and Forest Clearances/NOCs etc.
 Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures in relation to
environmental, health and safety management.
 Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal actions.
 Coordination & liaison with different Environmental agencies, CWC, MOEF&CC, Pollution Control
Board, concerned departments of State & Central Government.
 Providing implementation support to operations related to environmental compliance policies and
project-specific environmental requirements;
 Providing expert guidance to the site staff in the preparation and successful implementation of project
environmental assessment instruments/documentation, including Terms of Reference for the
preparation of environmental instruments, such as environmental impact/risk assessments,
environmental management plans, environmental management frameworks;
 Seeking and developing opportunities to improve and integrate sound environmental management and
policies including improving environmental benefits and providing value-added service, and building
capacity of relevant local clients and other stakeholders;
 Design, construction, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in relation to environmental, health
and safety management.
 Other environment related works.

2. Job Specifications:

2.1 Education Qualifications

BE /B.Tech in Civil/ Environmental Engineering or Two Years Post Graduate Degree/ M.Sc. in Environment
Engineering/Environmental Science/Geology from recognized Indian University/Institute approved by
AICTE/U.G.C.

2.2 Experience

A minimum of 20 years experience as Environmental Engineer/Officer in Govt. Department/Public


Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body/NGO or reputed Private Organization having relevant
experience as defined in Job profile at point no.1. The knowledge of computer operation is necessary.

3. Age:

Maximum 65 Years (as on date of advertisement).

4. Term of Employment:

The employment will purely be for a fixed tenure on Contractual basis initially for a period of one year which
can be extended for further period of 01 (one) year maximum.

5. Remuneration:

Rs. 80,000/- (Eighty Thousand Rupees) as monthly consolidated amount will be paid.

6. Income Tax:

Income Tax deduction will be as per applicable rules of Income Tax.


7. Leaves:

C.L. 14 Nos.

8. Vehicle:

A separate Vehicle will be provided by the UJVN Limited to perform the work as enumerated in Job profile.

9. Eligibility for T.A./D.A.:

While on tour, entitlement of TA/DA will be as applicable for the post of General Manager.

10. Superannuation Benefits:

The incumbent will not be entitled to any superannuation/terminal benefits with respect to services
rendered during the period of contract.

11. Seniority:

The incumbent will have no claim whatsoever for regular employment or as to seniority, either amongst
the individuals appointed on contract basis or vis-à-vis the regular employees of the UJVN Ltd.

12. Conduct & Discipline:

During the period of contract, incumbent will be governed by the applicable rules & regulations of the
UJVN Ltd.

13. Reservation:

No reservation for SC/ST/ OBC/ other is applicable for the said post.

14. Termination of Contract:

Contract can be terminated by giving one month’s notice on either side or one month’s remuneration in lieu
thereof, provided that such notice or compensation in lieu thereof shall not be necessary on the part of the
UJVN Ltd. where the termination is for an act of misconduct, omission or commission.

15. Selection Procedure:

Selection of the candidate will be made from the eligible short listed candidates through an interview by duly
constituted Interview & Selection Board.

Scheduled date, time and venue for interview shall be fixed by the UJVN Ltd. and eligible candidates shall be
intimated by Regd. Post / e-mail/speed post.
