As per the requirement of SES-P-122.06 Para 3.2.2.1B, the maximum foundation rotation shall
not exceed 1.0 degree. This requirement is critical when the pier foundation is completely
augured into the sand. In case of the rock socket at the end, pier rotation is obviously
restrained by the rock and the roation calculation becomed unnecessary.
As,
1) foundation reactions are already inclusive of structural overaload factor of safety as per
TES-122.05 (Part-II)- Table 5-2.
2) Also in accordance with ACI-318-Table 5.3.1 primary wind is the primary load in monopole design.
3) Steel will follow the serviceability deformation/bending after concrete strength crack development.
(Pier foundation concrete already designed for ultimate limit state of design).
Hence, Reinforcement shall be design for load combination as per ACI-318-Table 5.3.1

Spacing of Ties:
Provide 12 mm dia ties at 300 mm c/c for depth below construction joint and 200 mm c/c above
construction joint to meet safe requirements.
