I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
Immediately upon police arrival Jason covered his eyes with sunglasses even though the location was shaded.
Jason asked several times if he could leave while the victim was being attended to and other matters
investigated. An officer saw video evidence of Jason walking off his property and towards an infant child before
throwing a substance on the child. When Jason was instructed to turn around and put his hands behind his back
he turned and ran into his home. Officers followed him in and controlled him to the ground where he was hand
cuffed. He stated he didn't "want to go" and be investigated "again." Jason was read Miranda rights. He invoked
the right to an attorney but later decided to speak with officers. Jason had medical attend to him because he
was stating he was in pain. While being loaded into the ambulance Jason began yelling "Sorry" to his family.
While being transported to the hospital he began asking to contact "drug task force." Jason stated he could help
them. He later clarified he could help by giving them "names." He stated he interacted with these individuals
"daily." Jason was asked numerous times what substance he had thrown on the child. Each time he stated it was
dirt and had an appearance similar to ash. Later it was discovered to be sulfuric acid. He did confide to medical
that he had used controlled substances. I observed his body reacting to these substances in uncontrolled
spasms and twitching. I also observed these caused him pain. He declined medical assistance. He told an officer
that he had used "after work" that day, at approximately 1700 hours. Jason had stated he was nauseous when
first being transported to the hospital. He stated he was still nauseous when being transported to the jail. The
patrol vehicle window was rolled down partially so that he could put his head out if he was indeed sick. Jason
was handcuffed behind his back seat belted in the vehicle. During transport Jason was able to undo the seat belt
and forced his body out the window onto the road and in traffic. He was controlled again on the side of the road.
Medical again attended to him and transported back to the hospital. After being cleared he was taken to jail and
booked in on the charges mentioned above. While serving a search warrant at Jason's home officers discovered
elements of the crime that Jason had attempted to discard.

I believe these to be additional condition(s) for continued detention:

Felony committed while on probation or parole, or while free on bail awaiting trial on a previous felony charge
(they were out on probation or parole).
Jason Summers is on parole.
The person would constitute a substantial danger to any other person or to the community, or is likely to flee the
jurisdiction of the court
Jason displayed a drive to escape law enforcement and any possibility of serving jail time. He did this twice,
even at substantial risk of his own life. The offenses committed against the infant child in this matter show a
disregard for life and safety of other individuals. Jason also has a history of drug use and extreme violence.
Officer request that Jason Summers be held without bail due to these circumstances.
