7 Steps to Success - - ONLY FOR YOU

Discipline yourself to do what you know you need to do to be the very best in your field. Perhaps the best
definition of self discipline is this:

"Self discipline is the ability to make yourself do what you should do when you should do it,
whether you feel like it or not."

It is easy to do something when you feel like it. It's when you don't feel like it and you force yourself to do
it anyway that you move your life and career onto the fast track.

What decisions do you need to make today in order to start moving toward the top of your field?

Whatever it is, either to get in or get out, make a decision today and then get started. This single act alone
can change the whole direction of your life.

Seven Steps to Success

There is a powerful seven step formula that you can use to set and achieve your goals for the rest of your
life. Every single successful person uses this formula or some variation of this formula to achieve vastly
more than the average person. And so can you. Here it is:

Decide What You Want

First, decide exactly what it is you want in each part of your life. Become a "meaningful specific" rather
than a "wandering generality."

Write it Down
Second, write it down, clearly and in detail. Always think on paper. A goal that is not in writing is not a
goal at all. It is merely a wish and it has no energy behind it.

Set a Deadline
Third, set a deadline for your goal. A deadline acts as a "forcing system" in your subconscious mind. It
motivates you to do the things necessary to make your goal come true. If it is a big enough goal, set sub-
deadlines as well. Don't leave this to chance.

Make a List
Fourth, make a list of everything that you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your
goal. When you think of new tasks and activities, write them on your list until your list is complete.

Organize Your List

Fifth, organize your list into a plan. Decide what you will have to do first and what you will have to do
second. Decide what is more important and what is less important. And then write out your plan on paper,
the same way you would develop a blueprint to build your dream house.

Take Action
The sixth step is for you to take action on your plan. Do something. Do anything. But get busy. Get going.

Do Something Every Day

Seventh, do something every single day that moves you in the direction of your most important goal at the
moment. Develop the discipline of doing something 365 days each year that is moving you forward. You
will be absolutely astonished at how much you accomplish when you utilize this formula in your life every
single day.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do to put these ideas into action immediately.

First, decide exactly what you want, write it down with a deadline, make a plan and take action - on at
least one goal - today!

Second, determine the price you will have to pay to achieve this goal and then get busy paying that price
- whatever it is.

A Message From Spirit

Throughout your journey and daily happenings, never feel afraid, for I am with you. Wake up each
morning and know I am here to guide you and you are loved and accepted. Know in your heart and your
inner spirit, inner being I will not guide you where you can't walk.

When you feel like you can't go on, know that I love you with all the heavenly hosts above. Each day for
you is blessed, as the skies are above, to become whom you were intended - the key is to love.

When you can love with no doubt and no fear and bring forth the guidance you receive from me through
your ear, I give you great gifts, all from the source of love.

The paths you take are filled from above, don't walk off that road and remember that dove. I created you
and you are one with me, I know the plans I have for thee. So when in doubt, know I will comfort thee.

I created the rainbow as a symbol for all to see and through this guide, I come to thee. The rainbow of
love is within thee. Once you find this, I will come and show thee. You can hear my words and feel my
heart for I am the one who asks you to forsake all others along my path.

There will be times you will feel like you are unsure. This is when you knock on my door. For all I will do is
help thee to see. I gave you a voice so you speak from me, I gave you ears so you can hear me, I gave
you vision so you can see me, I gave you breath so you can breathe through me, I gave you scent so you
can smell me, I gave you taste so you could feed from me.

The list of gifts are many and endless; each thought you have you are telling me, each word you speak
are they from Me?

Listen to your inner spirit, as this is the flame to me. Once you have served me, all others will see this is
the truth, the light, and the way. On this path you will face darkness, as well as light. Listen to me for I will
set you free. I hold the key to the throne of all the "unknown".

Morning Thoughts
What do you think about the very first thing in the morning?

Your thoughts during the first half-hour of the morning will greatly influence the entire day. You may not
realize this, but it is nevertheless a fact.

If you set out with worry and depression, and bitterness of soul toward fate or man, you are giving the key
note to a day of discord and misfortunes.

If you think peace, hope, and happiness, you are sounding a note of harmony and success. The result
may not be felt at once, but it will not fail to make itself evident eventually.

Control your morning thoughts. You can do it.

The first moment on waking, no matter what your mood, say to yourself:

"I will get all the comfort and pleasure possible out of this day, and I will do something to add to
the measure of the world's happiness or well-being. I will control myself when tempted to be
irritable or unhappy, I will look for the bright side of every event."

Once you say these things over to yourself in a calm, earnest way, you will begin to feel more cheerful.
The worries and troubles of the coming day will seem less colossal.

Then say:

"I shall be given help to meet anything that comes today. Everything will be for the best. I shall
succeed in whatever I undertake. I cannot fail."

Do not let it discourage you if the moment you leave your room you encounter a trouble or a disaster. This
usually happens. When we make any boasts, spiritually or physically, we are put to the test. The occult
forces about us are not unlike human beings.

When a schoolboy boasts of his strength, and says he can "lick any boy in school," he generally gets a
chance to prove it. When we declare we are brave enough to overcome any fate, we find our strength put
to the test at once.

But that is all right.

Prove your words to be true. Regard the troubles and cares you encounter as the "punching bags" of fate,
given you to develop your spiritual muscle. Go at them with courage and keep to your morning resolve.

By and by the troubles will lessen, and you will find yourself master of circumstances.

Help Yourself
How would you answer this question:

What is the correct meaning of modern life?

Without any hesitation you can say that modern life is a combination of difficulties and challenges.

Obviously, most people expect someone's help when they are in trouble. Will you get a helping hand from
your neighbors or other close relatives? Perhaps, but more and more we can say 'no' due to the
commercialization of human life. Computerized man counts each second in monetary values and hence,
there is no time for extending help to others.

Most people have forgotten the words "help to others". Man must live life by himself and he should not
depend on others. He tries to move forward in his life by helping himself rather than waiting for others to
help bring him out of difficulties.

The abominable vision gives us an instant spurt of enthusiasm to improve ourselves and grow out of all
difficulties. This enthusiasm makes you a better man and an ideal human being in the future.

Proactive people always try to improve themselves with self-help. Only passive people wait for another's
help. Feel like a roaring lion and hunt your meal yourself. Don't expect someone else's help. Lazy jackals
wait for help and only get to eat the food left by the king lion.

Self-help and self-reliance generate confidence and they are essential traits for greater personality
development. They strengthen your existing skills and mold you into a daring hero to achieve
extraordinary things.

In this modern world, self-help is the best help due to competition in all fields. If you want to grow in your
life, you have to take the initiative when searching for better ways to reach higher levels. Our youth must
also adopt self-help principles in their lives to achieve their goals.

Suggestions: Tackle all challenges patiently until you reach your destination. Don't depend on others.
Seek advice from your family elders and teachers, whenever required. Try to make wise decisions in your
own way.

Your mind is a repository of thoughts. If you fill your mind with positive thoughts, you can handle any
troublesome situation smoothly. Positive people search their own ways to solve their problems. They
seldom look for someone's help.

Remember friends, for every problem there is a solution.

Try to solve your problems courageously. Don't blame others. Life is a learning experience. Face all your
adversities and pains with greater heroism to survive in this aggressive, competitive world. If you fail a
thousand times, make another attempt. Finally you will be the winner. Have a firm faith in yourself so that
you can accomplish any task successfully without another's help.

How To Recognize A Negative Attitude

How you feel and how you react is in direct relation to how you think. Some people let random
circumstances predict their day.

For example, they go to make coffee and find there is none left. They start the day by sarcastically
thinking, "Oh great, this going to be a good day". Then, for the remainder of the day, they allow minor
inconveniences, unexplained challenges, or other less than ideal events to reinforce their original
negative thought.

You can recognize their negative attitude just by listening to how they talk.

If you allow your mind to dwell on unhappy situations, you can expect your day to unfold in the same
manner.

Look forward to your day and don't let negative thoughts control it. Change how you interpret or react to
life's events, and you actually change your attitude from a negative one to a positive one.

If you run out of coffee, change your thought to: "if this is the worse thing that could happen to me today
the rest of my day will be great."

If you continually think negative thoughts then you are setting yourself up to allow only negative events to
be your companion for the rest of the day. When something good does occur, you won't even recognize
it.

Sometimes It's Good To Think Like A

Child (Part 1)

Hey there y'all.

Have you ever wondered why so many people never follow their dreams? Have you ever looked around
you when you are on the bus, waiting in line at the bank or grocery store or even just around in the street?
When you were a kid... You had dreams... you wanted to be a Fire fighter... an actor... a pilot... a
billionaire... Spiderman!!! There were no limits to what you wanted to become.

Who remembers that jar of cookies on top of the refrigerator... the jar that you could not reach? And do
you remember doing everything you could to reach that jar?

I still remember thinking... " I want the cookie no matter what". I remember grabbing a chair.... books...
stacking them all up one on top of the other... until I could climb up all the way and get the cookie. I did
not think about the difficulties or how high the chair was getting as I was stacking the books.

As a child, the notion of fear is non-existent, and we think anything we want is achievable.

What happens to our dreams, as we grow old? So many people around us say "NO"... that we get used to
that "NO" and we let that word affect the way we think.

Why is it that the little boy who wanted to be a fire fighter ends up being an accountant? The little girl who
wanted to be a Ballerina ends up being a schoolteacher?

We let the people around us influence our decisions. We forget our goals and follow what we think
everyone else wants from us.

We must each write our goals and dreams and have them near us each day. If you do not have a goal or
plan of where you want to go in life, you will usually not like where you end up.

What you have done up until now... up until 10 seconds ago... is GONE! You cannot change it! But what
you can do... is change what you do as of Now... this minute... this second.

Lao Tzu said... " When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be".

Let go of the past... think of who you want to become and don't let other people tell you otherwise. Keep
focus and remember how driven and courageous you were as a kid... never forget that feeling.

10 Rules For A Good Day

TODAY I WILL NOT STRIKE BACK:

If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind...I will not respond in a like manner.

TODAY I WILL ASK GOD TO BLESS MY "ENEMY":

If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask God to bless that individual. I
understand the "enemy" could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker, or a stranger.

TODAY I WILL BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I SAY:

I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip.

TODAY I WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE:

I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.

TODAY I WILL FORGIVE:

I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way. TODAY I WILL DO SOMETHING NICE FOR
SOMEONE, BUT I WILL DO IT SECRETLY: I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.

TODAY I WILL TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WISH TO BE TREATED:

I will practice the golden rule - "Do unto others as I would have them do unto me" - with everyone I
encounter.

TODAY I WILL RAISE THE SPIRITS OF SOMEONE I DISCOURAGED:

My smile, my words, my expression of support, can make the difference to someone who is wrestling life.

TODAY I WILL NURTURE MY BODY:

I will eat less; I will eat only healthy foods. I will thank God for my body.

TODAY I WILL GROW SPIRITUALLY:

I will spend a little more time in prayer today: I will begin reading something spiritual or inspirational today;
I will find a quiet place and listen to God's voice !

What Is The Truth?

Once upon a time there was one storyteller. After getting tired of telling old fabricated stories, he left his
house in search of a real life story.

He reached a village and took a cottage for rent. After roaming in the village throughout the month, in
search of true story, the storyteller couldn't find one. Disappointed, he decided to stop his search.

The next day, while sitting in the cottage, he suddenly heard a voice - a woman was yelling at someone.
The voice was coming from the big wall behind his cottage.

He tried to hear the conversation; it sounded like the woman was abusing her daughter-in-law. The
storyteller didn't like it but he was happy to finally get his story.

Listening to the conversations each day he added them to his story. Though he couldn't see the
characters of his story, he started hating the Mother-in-law, as she seemed to be villain.

Now it was time to finalize the end of the story. But before he did, the storyteller wanted to see the
characters once, so he climbed the wall.

There he saw the mother-in-law sitting in a wheelchair. It seemed she was handicapped and that the
daughter-in-law was resting nearby.

He saw the old lady trying to get a food item lying on the table near her chair. But because of her
condition, she couldn't reach it and the daughter-in-law looked like she was enjoying the old lady's
helplessness.

Suddenly the old lady fell from the chair and started abusing her daughter in-law.
The storyteller went back and quickly changed the ending of the story and was stunned at how different it
was compared to what he originally thought it would be.

Truly he had found both a real life story and a real life lesson.

Lesson: Never judge a situation unless you know all the aspects well. Sometimes you can't
imagine your distance from the reality.

Self-Discipline for Success

There is one special quality that you can develop that will guarantee you greater success,
accomplishment and happiness in life. Of a thousand principles for success developed over the ages, this
one quality or practice will do more to assure that you accomplish wonderful things with your life than
anything else. This quality is so important that, if you don't develop it to a high degree, it is impossible for
you to ever achieve what you are truly capable of achieving.

The quality that I am talking about is the quality of self-discipline. It is a habit, a practice, a
philosophy and a way of living.

All successful men and women are highly disciplined in the important work that they do. All unsuccessful
men and women are undisciplined and unable to control their behaviors and their appetites. And when
you develop the same levels of high, personal discipline possessed by the most successful people in our
society, you will very soon begin to achieve the same results that they do.

All great success in life is preceded by long, sustained periods of focused effort on a single goal, the most
important goal, with the determination to stay with it until it is complete.

Throughout history, we find that every man or woman who achieved anything lasting and worthwhile, had
engaged in long, often unappreciated hours, weeks, months and even years of concentrated, disciplined
work, in a particular direction.

Fortunately the quality of self-discipline is something that you can learn by continuous practice,
over and over, until you master it. Once you have mastered the ability to delay gratification, the ability
to discipline yourself to keep your attention focused on the most important task in front of you, there is
virtually no goal that you cannot accomplish and no task that you cannot complete.

Successful people engage in activities that are goal-achieving. Unsuccessful people engage in
activities that are tension-reliving. Successful people discipline themselves to have dinner before
dessert. Unsuccessful people prefer to have dessert most of the time.

Successful people plan their work, and work their plan. They take the time to think through their
responsibilities before they begin. They make clear decisions which they then implement immediately.
They get a lot more done in a shorter period of time than the average person. And it all has to do with
their disciplines.

Perhaps the most important benefit of self-discipline is the personal benefit that you receive.
Every act of self-discipline increases your self-esteem. It gives you a feeling of personal power
and accomplishment.
Each time you discipline yourself to persist in the face of distractions, diversions, and
disappointments, you feel better about yourself.

 As you continue to discipline yourself, you achieve more and more in life.

 As you achieve more things, you feel more like a winner.

 Your self-confidence goes up.

 You feel happier about yourself.

 You get more done and you have more energy.

 You earn the respect and esteem of the people around you.

 You get more rapid promotions and are paid more money.

 You live in a nicer house, drive a nicer car, and wear nicer clothes.

 You get a natural high from the thrill of achievement.

And the more things that you achieve as the result of employing your personal habits of effectiveness and
productivity, the more eager you are to achieve even higher and better tasks. Your life gets onto an
upward spiral of success and happiness. You feel great about yourself most of the time.

Every act of self-discipline strengthens every other discipline in your life.

Every weakness of self-discipline weakens your other disciplines as well. When you make a habit of
disciplining yourself in little things, like flossing your teeth every night, you'll soon become able to
discipline yourself to accomplish even larger things, like working long, long hours to bring a major task to
completion.

Your entire life is an on-going battle between the forces of doing what is right and necessary on the one
hand and doing what is fun and easy on the other hand. It is a battle between the forces of discipline and
the forces of ease or expediency.

And when you develop the strength of character that gives you complete self-mastery, self-control
and self-discipline, you feel wonderful about yourself.

 You develop a deep inner sense of strength and confidence.

 You replace positive thinking with positive knowing.

 You reach the point inside where you absolutely know that you can do whatever it takes to
achieve any goal that you can set for yourself.

Self-discipline is its own reward.

Not only does it pay off in terms of greater self-esteem and a more positive mental attitude, but it pays off
throughout your life in terms of the goals that you achieve and the success that you attain in everything
you do.

Self-discipline is a skill and a habit that can be learned by practice.

Every time you practice a little self-discipline, you become stronger and stronger. Bit by bit, you become
more capable of even greater disciplines. As you become a totally self-disciplined individual, your entire
future opens up in front of you like a broad highway. Everything becomes possible for you and your future
becomes unlimited.
