We have pleasure in attaching our price list, which covers the full range of options for the
DAX 427. We hope you find the price list comprehensive and easy to understand, however if
there is anything that is not clear, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
Our cars built with GENUINE DAX PARTS win more concours events and have excellent
resale values over a long period.
Remember, we do not mass-produce, each body and chassis is made to our customer’s
individual requirements. Whatever your engine option, we consider all our cars to be capable
of high performance and they are all designed & manufactured with this in mind.
Personal visits to our factory are encouraged, where you can view our demonstrators, the
manufacture of the body panels and chassis along with cars in various stages of build. An
appointment is not normally necessary, but a ‘phone call to check availability of
demonstration vehicles etc. is advisable.
Our opening ours are: Monday – Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm

Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm
Saturday 9.00am to 12.30pm
If we are exhibiting at a show, then most of our demonstrators & staff will not be
available on the Friday, Saturday Morning & Monday Morning, please call to confirm.

DAX 427
Few vehicles can offer a more evocative taste of the great days of the sporting muscle car
than the DAX 427….. but this fantastic beast is no dinosaur.
Continuing developments to make the most of modern suspension, brake, wheel and tyre
technology – combined with the additional stiffness added by a backbone-brace to the
traditional hooped ladder frame chassis – offer unexpectedly high standards of handling
and road holding.
The flexibility to accept literally any US V8 engine – together with the cost-effective Rover
V8 and straight six or V12 units from Jaguar – and handle power outputs in excess of 500
bhp establishes the DAX 427’s claim to be one of the world’s great traditional sports cars.
Its unsurpassed reputation is reflected in exceptional re-sale values, with recent, high-
specification cars changing hands for as much as £50,000.

This top-of-the-range model offers all the style and presence of the traditional 427,
together with an even stiffer chassis and the ultimate handling and road-holding package.
Its unique, patented camber-compensating front suspension system – combined with a De

Dion rear axle – works to extract the maximum performance from modern, low-profile
tyres, maintaining the optimum contact patch for safe and predictable handling at all
times.
Both models now have a Power Steering Option & the De Dion has a larger front Disc Brake
option

INDIVIDUAL VEHICLE APPROVAL

DAX have been a keen supporter of this Department of Transport initiative and all DAX
vehicles currently produced, are capable of meeting the IVA requirements.
Today’s DAX 427s, with IVA compliance, differs only in detail from its predecessors. Parts
for previous level vehicles will continue to be available and are included in this price list.

high grade stainless steel & supplied polished. The V8 systems
consist of 4 primary tubes per side with stainless steel flanges, 4

OTHER PARTS - NON-JAGUAR

 Steering Column - can be taken from any Ford Sierra with a square hazard-warning
button (Aug ’82 to Feb ’87). The Dax loom has been designed to operate with the
column switches supplied with Ford’s base model Sierra, however the switch gear from
the higher specified Sierra models can be used (incorporating delay-wipe, central horn
push, etc) with only minor loom modification. Brake Servo & Master Cylinder - can be
taken from any Mk V Ford Escort 1.4 litre (Jul ’90 to Dec ’94) without ABS.
