com Mumbai: Third highest number of students accounting to 301 admissions into ISB (over the past five years). Highest number of admissions in total is from Bangalore, followed by Delhi. ISB’s current batch of 2009-10 has 82 students from Mumbai, which is the second highest in number, after Bangalore this year. Number of students from Delhi this year are 73(third highest in the batch after Mumbai at second position). A visible trend witnessed amongst Mumbai students taking admission into ISB, over the past 5 years. Bangalore: Maximum number of students in total (322 students), over the past 5 years (from 2005 – 2010) have taken admission into ISB, as compared to other metro and mini metro cities. The ISB current batch (2009 -10) has 88 students from Bangalore. This accounts for the highest number of students from any metro city, taking admission into ISB. There has been a visible increase in the number of students from Bangalore over the past two years. The batch of 2008-09 witnessed 38 students, while the batch of 2009-10 has 88 students from Bangalore. (Increase in admissions has been observed). Delhi: 305 students from Delhi in total have taken admission into ISB over the past 5 years from (2005 -2010).Delhi, accounts for the second highest number of students taking admission into ISB, after Bangalore (accounting for 322 students). Kolkata: There has been an increase in the number of students over the past five years. The Current batch of 2009-10 has 25 students as compared to the previous batches. The number of students in the batches 2007-08 and 2008-09 were 11 and 21 respectively. Hyderabad: Increase in the number of students taking admission into ISB over the past 5 years from Hyderabad. The current batch has 53 students from the city. An increase of more than double in number recorded for students taking admission into ISB ,from Hyderabad. Number of students in last year’s batch(2008-09) from ISB were 20 students.
