It is my pleasure to recommend Ms. Allyson Kirkpatrick as a teacher in your school district. I have
had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ally for the past four years. Ally has volunteered at
Glenwood Elementary School in various classrooms while attending Kutztown University. She is
currently substituting as an instructional assistant in our district. I have had the pleasure of observing
her during these past four years. Ally has always been professional and demonstrates excellence in her
ability to relate to others.

As an instructional assistant, she has been very successful in implementing our curriculum and specific
programs this school year. Ally demonstrates a strong working knowledge of curriculum and
instruction, and she strives to implement best practices in our instructional program.

When she is working in small groups her students are always focused, full of energy, and engaged in
her activities. Her behavior management skills are above average for a novice teacher. She
appropriately and respectfully addresses her students so they are able to take ownership and learn from
their struggles.

Ally demonstrates poise, confidence, and competence rarely seen in novice teachers. She is
thoughtful, conscientious, and dedicated to her students.

In summary, Ally displays all the qualities that one would look for in any successful educator. She is
dependable, motivated, and works well with colleagues.
