• I incorporate the 5-E science instructional model in conjunction with Katy ISD Scope and Sequence planning
guides, STEMcopes curriculum, JASON Learning curriculum and TEKS when lesson planning for each unit.
• I took a leadership role on the 8th grade science team and lead teachers on team who were new to junior high and
the subject matter.
• Science Olympiad Coach –Developed Science Olympiad program for Tays Junior High School 2016-2017.
• Assisted and mentored new Science Olympiad coach in the 2017-2018 school year.
• Handbook Committee – Appointed to handbook committee team by Tays administration to participate and

• I create inquiry lab experiments to allow students to explore challenging concepts more easily assimilated through
a translational process. I utilize technology to enrich content including: creating and using Smart Notebook
technology daily to make lessons more engaging for students, maintaining an extensive Canvas website providing
students with numerous resources and additional study aids such as Quizlet, specifically designed to accommodate
the many ESOL students that attend Katy schools.
• Co-Sponsor of the WCJH Science Olympiad program for the 2015-2016 school year and volunteered as an assistant
to the head coach for the program the 2014-2015 school year.
