MASS DANCE COMPETITION

MECHANICS

1.) The competition is open to all junior and senior high school students of your
school.

2.) Each group will have a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 members

3.) Each group will perform to any dance music with a maximum time limit of 5
minutes. Beyond this limit, a total of five (5) points will be deducted from the
group’s total score.

4.) The members of the group may be composed of all males or females, or
any combination thereof.

5.) The dance number must have the accompaniment of any relating festival dance.

6.) The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props are
not allowed.

7.) Any team proven in violation of the rules & regulations will be automatically
disqualified from the event.

8.) Decision of judges is final and non-appealable.

CRITERIA

Choreography (creativity, style & originality) 40%

Execution (timing, coordination & projection) 25%

Costume 15%.

Over-all Impact 10%
