Record your notes on Vermeer here:

His full name is Johannes Vermeer,

and he is one of the best known
artists from the Dutch Golden Age.
Seven of his works are still in Dutch
museums.
His paintings are eulogized for their
brilliant use of light, careful
composition, and transparent colors.
Used a technique called pointill to
create those transparent colors.
Most of his paintings take place
inside of a house.
“His paintings cover all layers of
society…”
Today, we know for sure that he
painted 34 pieces of art.
Han van Meegeren was Dutch who
painted in classic style.
To prove others that he was excellent,
he started forging Vermeer’s
paintings, and made fake ones.
This baffled the world of art after
they found out, and this made it more
difficult to tell the difference between
a true Vermeer painting and a fake
one.
