1 Remove standard front retainer buttons For this purpose see picture 1. The
standard retainer buttons are provided with a
thread and can be unscrewed from the
linkages
2 Remove standard rear retaining buttons For this purpose see picture 2. The
standard retainer buttons are arrested at the
ends of the Bowden cables. They must be
pulled off with a suitable tool, e.g. pliers.
Install
3 Apply Loctite 243 to front AMG retainer The front AMG retainer buttons (1) must

4 Apply adhesive to rear AMG retainer buttons Carefully apply adhesive to rear AMG

stage (one to two drops).
Adhesive should not reach between the rear
AMG retainer buttons (2) and the guide
sleeves (3, see picture 2) or the Bowden
cables.

5 Install rear AMG retainer buttons (2) at ends Press rear AMG retainer buttons (2) to
of Bowden cables, align and press on. stop on ends of Bowden cables. Actuate
inside door handle at same time to increase
contact pressure.
The adhesive is completely dry after 24 h.
The rear AMG retainer buttons (2) must be
flush with the top edge of the door linings
when locked.
The labeling "AMG" must be legible from
inside (see picture 2).
