Have breakfast at your hotel. Then, a half day city tour enables us to see the major temples of Vientiane including the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa, and we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. En-route, we stop to visit Ban Bor, a village where natural salt is produced. Arrive Nam Ngum Lake; we enjoy our lunch at local restaurant overlooking panoramic view of the lake. After lunch, we will have a half day tubing there. Then, we will depart to Vang vieng and catch the sunset over the mountains. Overnight in Vang Vieng. Day 3 - Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang As part of our half day tour of Vang Vieng, we explore the famous caves of Tham Jang, which was once used by the local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders. We also cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai, a very pleasant village where we can explore the different lifestyles of the locals. Following lunch, we head north up route 13 to Luang Prabang. The stunning mountain scenery makes for an interesting journey. After a couple of photo stops, we arrive in Luang Prabang early evening. Overnight in Luang Prabang. Day 4 - Luang Prabang - Kuangsi Waterfall First we visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, a Khmu villages. This then takes us to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. We then return to Luang Prabang. Day 5 - Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave Your full day city tour begins after breakfast, with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. Today, we also visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. This afternoon, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang Following lunch, we visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos' many ethnic cultures before we head out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Overnight in Luang Prabang. Day 6 - Luang Prabang - Hanoi Free day at your leisure to explore this city on your own until your flight to Hanoi. On arrival, our local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel in the downtown. Please note: Uncle Ho has gone for his annual maintenance and the mausoleum is closed on Monday, Friday and whole October-November, but we will see the outside of the mausoleum then continue the program as listed. Optional: Instead or visiting the Ho Chi Minh President Mausoleum and Museum, which is closed on Monday, you may choose to visit the Ethnology museum where contains more than 10,000 objects, 15,000 black and white photos and hundreds of video tapes and cassettes which depict all aspects of life, activities, customs, and habits of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. You will meet some of them one day later in Sapa, so it's a good chance to know them a little more of their customs. Day 8 - Hanoi - Halong Bay 08.00 Take a 3-hour scenic drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. 11.30 -12.00: Arrival in HaLong Tourist Wharf. Transfer to junk by tender 12.00: Welcome cocktail on board. Check into your private cabin, while we start cruising towards Bai Tu Long Bay 13.15 -14.30: Vietnamese lunch served on board, against the stunning backdrop of limestone formations and islands such as: Coc Island, Cap De Island, Bo Cau Island, Vong Vieng fishing village. 16.00: Arrive in Vong Vieng; visit the life of local people by a sampan. In the evening, we will wave "goodbye" to Hanoi, take the night train to the border town, Lao Cai. Stay overnight at soft sleeper private cabin with four berths. Day 10 - Lao Cai - Sapa It'll probably be a bit of a shock when we rouse you at five in the morning, but breakfast and the crisp fresh air of the mountains will soon wake you up. The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00am. On your arrival, one of our representatives will be waiting for you with IOT Welcoming Board. The drive to Sapa is about 33km, but it takes around 1 hour. Once at Sapa, we will check into the Hotel, and have time to freshen up, and have breakfast at the hotel. Then you will enjoy a free morning to explore around the small & charming town. At 10:00am we will meet you again and start a walking tour from hotel to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, home to H'mong hill tribe minority people. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local people minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. Stay overnight in Sapa. Day 11 - Sapa After breakfast we are very pleased to drive you to the beautiful village Ta Phin, which is about 10 km away from Sapa Town, home to Red Dzao Minority people. Also we can arrange Xe-om (the most popular means of transportation in Vietnam, means "bike hug") for you to get there. Once arrived there, you will see and hear the sounds of morning village life. You can join them in some of their activities, like feeding the animals, cleaning the houses, gardening or preparing lunch. Afterwards you can take a short wander around the village. In the afternoon, we will transfer back to Sapa. Stay overnight in Sapa. Day 12 - Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi Get up early for breakfast, check out of the hotel, and then drive to Bac Ha market (106 km). Just before reaching the market we will see colorful activity, beautiful flower Hmong people carrying hand-crafted products or pulling dogs or buffalos, all on their way to the market. You are free to wonder around the market and become a part of the trading activities. Please be respectful to the locals as they are reluctant to have their photo taken without permission. In the afternoon, we transfer to Lao Cai town. Dinner here before boarding the train at 21:00 pm back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at about 5:00 am. Day 13 - Hanoi On your arrival at the train station of Hanoi, we will meet you with IOT Welcoming Board. We will take you to the hotel to have breakfast. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 14 - Hanoi - Da Nang After breakfast, you will be free at your own leisure. In the evening, our local guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer to the train station for your train to Danang. Stay overnight at soft sleeper private cabin with four berths.

On arrival, our local guide will meet you and transfer to Hoi An with a stop-over in Da Nang to visit the Cham Museum of Sculpture and Marble Mountains. Continue your route to Hoi An. Check in. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 16 - Hoi An Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. Morning take a walking tour of the old town center to visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colorful market. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 17 - Hoi An - Hochiminh City Free day on your own to explore this historical town or you can just relax at the beach resort. In the later afternoon, our local guide will meet you and transfer to Danang for you train to Ho Chi Minh. Stay overnight at soft sleeper private cabin with four berths. Day 18 - Hochiminh City You will probably arrive in Ho Chi Minh station at about 09:30 in the morning. On arrival, our local guide will meet you and transfer to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day is at your leisure to recover from the train. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 19 - Hochiminh City - Cu Chi Tunnel After breakfast, we venture beyond the city limits to the former Viet Cong stronghold at Cu Chi, where we explore this remarkable tunnel network. Return to Ho Chi Minh city at noon. In the afternoon, visit to the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Then take a photo stop at some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Continue to visit the War Museum, Ben Thanh market for shopping. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 20 - Hochiminh City - Mekong Delta In the morning you will depart for My Tho Town in Mekong Delta, the "rice basket" of Vietnam. Stop at Go Den Winery to see how they make & taste sticky rice wine and to interact with local people. After arrival in My Tho, you will take the boat ride across the Mekong River. Transfer to a sampan row boat along the natural canal. Visit a local house, orchard garden, bee farm, sampling honey tea, taking horse-cart ride, coconut candy factory. Lunch at a local house on the island with local specialties. Drive back to Hochiminh City in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hochiminh City. Day 21 - Hochiminh City - Phu Quoc Island After breakfast, our local guide will get you and transfer to the airport for your flight to Phu Quoc Island. On arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Day 23 - Phu Quoc Island Free day at your leisure at this beach resort. Overnight in Phu Quoc Island. Day 24 - Phu Quoc Island - Hochiminh City - Siem Reap Have breakfast at hotel. You will be free until your transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh. On arrival, you might wait for a while until your international flight to Siem Reap. A former French Colony until independence in 1953, The Kingdom of Cambodia has emerged from decades of war and isolation to become a captivating destination for exploration. Cambodia boasts many famous places to see including the Angkor monuments, architectural masterpieces, astonishing heritage, sandy beaches and amazing landscape. Even after its tragic history, Cambodia still retains a gentle pace of life, unspoiled by commercialization and over-development; you can really feel the incredible warmth and generosity of the people. On arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The town of Siem Reap is our base for visiting the world famous temples of the Manoluck LPQ city Angkor, which was the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire from 802 AD to 1350 AD. Day 25 - Siem Reap - Angkor Thom Today, we continue exploring the wonderous Angkorian ruins by visiting the south gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal, human faces carved in stone. We also visit the impressive centerpiece of the city, The Bayon Temple, which emerges from the jungle as an incredible forest of heads. We also visit the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of the Leper King and the famous Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat. Built in the early years of the 12th century by Suryavaram II honouring the Hindu gods Vishnu and Shiva, Angkor Wat, is one of the most breathtaking architectural masterpieces and the largest religious monument in the world. A spectalular view over these sandstone monuments at sunset is a perfect way to finish the day. Overnight in Siem Reap Day 26 - Siem Reap - Angkor Wat The temple of Ta Prohm, one of Angkor's most atmospheric and popular temples due to, it's jungle surrounding has enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers embracing themselves in the stone foundations of the temple structure, giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. This temple is an incredible sight; Ta Prohm was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider and unlike most of the other Angkor temples has been left in much the same condition in which it was found. We explore this masterpiece as well as its surrounding temples of Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, TA Keo, Thommanon, and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit including Preah Khan, the Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, TA Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples are also visited this afternoon before walking up to Phnom Bakheng Hill to enjoy the sunset. This hill sits high above the surrounding landscape providing a breathtaking, glowing sunset view of Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.
