AUTOMATIC BOTTLING PLANT

FLOW PROCESS STATION USING PLC

SYNOPSIS

INTRODUCTION

The main aim for us to select this Project work is to acquire practical

knowledge in the field of automation. The technology is improving in a

tremendous manner that a new technology today is an old or obsolete after a

short period of time. In any industrial and commercial application aiming for

automation PLC controller is playing a major role.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

We selected “AUTOMATIC FLOW PROCESS STATION FOR FLOW

PROCESS STATION USING PLC ” as our Project work and we used

principles of mechatronics in developing this Project work. The Stepper motor

used in this model is being driven using PLC microcontroller.

The project basically consists of two operations:

(a) The stepper motor drive Rotating disc mechanism for the

transferring of bottle to be filled.

(b) The feed control mechanism for filling of required quantity of liquid

in the bottle.
The first operation is performed using stepper motor, which rotates for a

specified angle to stop at feeding station. The second operation is performed by

a solenoid valve. The stepper motor and solenoid valve are controlled by a PLC

microcontroller through the driver circuit .

 It can be used in chemical plant

 It can be used in soft drinks plant
