Descriptions for wiring diagram

KPA & KPB: Motor (main) contactors

KFR: Brake contactor
STRP: Remote trip/test button/switch (Make a bridge from RT1 to RT2 if not used)
SRSC: Remote rescue/override button/switch (Do not make a connection to RSC1 & RSC2 if not used)
PIN: Programmable input on ADrive used for monitoring the ApRe and UCM blocking magnet. A normally close
contact of the solenoid switch (closed when the solenoid power is off) must be connected to the programmable
input PIN on ADrive.
Required parameter settings in ADrive
Make the setting below to enable the ApRe monitoring function:
- Menu > 11-ADVANCED SET. > 11.14-APRE Mon. = Enabled
Make the setting below to assign the ApRe monitoring function to programmable input PIN on ADrive:
- Menu > 11-ADVANCED SET. > 11.4-PIN Func. = APRE mon. input
Note: The wiring and the self-monitoring function described in this document is available only with ADrive with
firmware version >= 8.88.
Required time settings in the lift control system for ApRe
For electric lifts with ADrive inverter, there is a time delay between the KPA&KPB main contactors and KFR brake
contactor during the stopping sequence. KPA&KPB are delayed a time after KFR drops. This delay is for waiting
brake until it is closed totally. In general terms it is called "main contactor delay time" and is set with a parameter in
the lift controller's menu. This parameter normally must be higher than the brake close time which is set in the
inverter's menu. Also to fulfill this device, this parameter must also be higher than 1 second. In this way, the UCM
blocking coil will be de-activated after the brake is closed and before the doors start to open. Doors are not opened
by the lift controller until the main contactor drops.

The following settings are required in the ADrive and in the lift controller to set this timing:

Settings Description
system
ARL-500 de-energizes the main contactors when
a signal comes from ADrive. ADrive gives this
ARL-500 & ARL-500 menu > System settings > signal 1 second after it de-energizes the brake
ADrive Contactor drop delay after stopping = With feedback contactor. Doors will open after solenoid is de-
energized and the stopping part of the over speed
governor is activated.
The “Contactor Delay” is the time between the
ARL-300 menu > CONTACTOR DELAY stop signal comes to the lift controller and the
(to be adjusted to a sufficient value) dropping of the main contactors. This parameter
ARL-300 & shall be set to a value that the main contactors
ADrive drop at least 1 second after brake contactor drops.

1.15-MBRAKE OFF = 0.5 S. the stopping part of the over speed governor is
activated.
