GIVING SERIES - "BLESSED FOR IMPACT"

[YOU CAN BE RICH BUT NOT BLESSED]

- God is not duty bond to reciprocate, but He does.

- We don't give to receive but still God chooses to bless us and rebuke the devourer.

What are blessings?

1. A public declaration of a favoured life by God

C.f. Psalms 32:1

2. Endowed with power for success

C.f. Deuteronomy

Noah's blessing C.f. Genesis 9:1-2

Israel's blessing came from Abraham's blessing C.f. Genesis 12:3. The Jews control 70%
of the economy of America yet they form only 2% of the population.

Humanity - Never cursed by God, the ground was.

Blessings for everybody else (Gentiles) is by Faith C.f. Galatians 3:8-9;

Ephesians 2:11-13, Ephesians 1:3-4

God's blessings are conditional - based on obedience:

- Cain was told to master Sin C.f Genesis 4:7
- Genesis 7:12-14
- Genesis 28:1-14

SUMMARY
Why God blesses us:
To keep His promise with Abraham.
To showcase His Character.

God's blessings are

Both Spiritual and material
Based on obedience
Extend to the faithful and their generations.
