CONSTRUCTION NOTICE August 2018

New Stairway coming at SW Myrtle begins week of


August 6th
PROJECT Update
Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT)
crews are constructing a new stairway at SW New stairway location
Myrtle between Sylvan Way SW and 25th Ave SW.
The existing 50-foot long dirt path will be
replaced with a new stairway that meets current
standards.

PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS
As part of this project work:
 Contractor will be removing vegetation
and grading work area.
 SDOT crews will then be forming new
stairs and pathway and pouring and
finishing concrete.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
Beginning as early as 8-8-18, contractor will begin
preliminary work at the site. SDOT crew will then
finish the project by the end of 2018. Stairway
restoration is scheduled to take approximately 2-

3 months and will reopen by December 2018.

 Typical work hours between 7 AM and 3:30 PM


 Noisy work activities including concrete
breaking, saw cutting and backup alarms
required for safety.
