CFLM 101 – NATIONALIMS AND PATRIOTISM

3 units: 1 hour lecture/unit; 3 hours a week

Prerequisite: None

The course is an exploration of some key issues related to the relationship between
individuals and nation-states, nationalism and patriotism. It is an exploration of both theoretical
concepts and concrete ideas and experiences that most of us have about “our” nation, the
Philippines; about our membership, our “love” for our country, our sense of rights and obligations,
our notions of what constitutes a “good citizen,” and related topics.

CFLM 102 – LEADERSHIP, DECISION-MAKING, MANAGEMENT AND


ADMINISTRATION
3 units: 1 hour lecture/unit; 3 hours a week

Prerequisite: CLFM 101 – Nationalism and Patriotism with Environmental


Crime

The course will deal with the formation habits of virtue, in particular, the Cardinal virtues
of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance, which we believe are the foundation of leadership.
All four are necessary to prepare students to ultimately lead their families, communities, and
country. The course will also focus on the characteristics of a good leaders and good management
principles.
