INTEGRITY  Latin word: integritas > integer whole   Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching. People who promise things they never give are like clouds that bring no rain. (Prov. 25:14)

the foundation is laid--usually by parents and other leaders (church and school instructors). if neglected at any point. practice and exposure to the community and different hospital set ups. watered in childhood by the individual and eventually blossoms in adulthood producing fruit.e. The aforementioned can also be likened to integrity. because integrity is not inherent or innate in nature. This "building" begins with the first hole that is dug.  Integrity is a point of reference To maintain integrity. a student nurse loves doing a Nursing Care Plan (NCP). Once the hole is dug. it WILL wither and . The doors would allow for simple modification of a person's definition of integrity to enter into the training. of course a t first the student has learn the rules and exceptions associated in doing it. Make new memories. The walls follow with windows and doors added along the way. Instead integrity is a trait that is taught and learned over an individual lifetime. The roof is added later and serves to protect what has already been established from negative outside forces. Courage and Benevolence  Integrity is a skill Integrity is a skill because it cannot be learned in just one sitting. thoughts. Actions + Beliefs + Values= Integrity  What are the key components of Integrity? y y Honesty and Congruency (an individual s action is the same as his/her beliefs and values)  Integrity is a virtue that is interrelated to different other virtues i. same with Integrity. actions and reactions. The more you water it throughout life. Thus doing an NCP requires continuous learning and repeating special techniques over and over. studying. For example. Just as it is with plants. instead it is developed and learned through a cycle of life or sometimes over a lifetime. especially if the past is tainted in any way. Memories that are ethical and moral--blameless memories that shout and echo integrity.  Integrity is like a great tower (it can also be rebuild) You can consider integrity as a building within a person's heart that starts when the person is young.  Tomorrow is a new day Looking back is important for learning from our mistakes--but leave it at that--"looking back. trusting it's for the better. the more it grows and blooms." Don't bring the past into the present or the future for any other reason.  Integrity requires training To be a competent and qualified nurse practitioner someday. The windows would allow for transparency and serve as a type of checks-and-balances.  Integrity is like a plant It is planted as a seed in youth by loved ones. Honesty. you must remember to refer to truth and honesty in ALL decisions. means enduring years of training.

because once we let trash to build up our integrity also begins to diminish its value. In maintaining integrity we must be like janitors. While you can have integrity with honesty. Sound ethical decision making requires the respectful and open exchange of views between and among all individual with relevant interests.is a separate issue that definitely applies to personal integrity. Š Wholeness of character In the process of becoming a professional. it is just as easy to lack integrity. but if you do not follow up your honesty with appropriate actions then you would display a lack of integrity.  HONESTY and INTEGRITY . So. to maintain competence and to continue personal professional growth. To be honest is to apply integrity to a situation. is responsible for articulating nursing values.die. The profession of nursing. Love them anyway. as represented by association and their members. for maintaining the integrity of the profession and its practice and for shaping social policy. circumstance or instance. he doesn t let dirt to accumulate in his area. including the responsibility to preserve integrity and safety. getting familiar with integrity will take a while. the nurse embraces the values of profession. who follows a strict maintenance. he makes sure that he leaves his area spotless or free of impurities. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. why she let him go. forgiven and set free it doesn't matter what the world may think of me I've got nothing to hide I know my Identity. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. without a doubt I know His blood has covered me That's who I am . Think big anyway. Succeed anyway. people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. but they don't understand why he chooses to be different He sees that they're laughing. Give the world the best you have anyway. Give the world the best you have and you ll get kicked in the teeth. If you are successful. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Help people anyway.
